Prices are fair. Aesthetics are nice. The food is okay. Left feeling underwhelmed after trying 4 different hand rolls – one of which was the special. There isn’t enough flavor diversity between rolls and it’s weird how it comes out with a very prominent temperature conflict – the fish is super cold and the rice is hot. I understand fish should be cold until served but I do think the material temp. difference negatively affects the overall flavor profile and experience.

This is one of my bestie’s fave spots and easy and chill for us to catch up at lunch. Also an easy spot to take my teenager for a little mom/son date. It’s quick, bar seating and chill vibe. We typically go for a later lunch or happy hour and have always found seating. The place is intimate and actually a cool casual first date spot (rec lunch). Their sushi is hand roll style and I can usually eat 3 rolls. They have a nice lunch special with 3 rolls and soup or salad for $21 and a great happy hour menu. The cocktails are a little sweet for me and they serve house wine, so I prefer to ask for a martini or ranch water. Oh or Japanese whiskey. This is one of our last minute meet up go to places for something quick and easy. The staff is always super friendly.

We came during happy hour and drinks wete $7. Pretty cosy handroll bar set up. Small menu with a variety. Handrolls came with warm rice and crispy nori/seaweed which was chefs kiss! This combo has to be prepared freshly prior serving to avoid soggy rice and they nailed it. Sushi chefs also kept an eye on our pace so our plate was never empty! Price and food were reasonable – will be back.
Ordered today’s special octopus crudo and a set of 4 and 5 handrolls. The difference in the set of 4 was a salmon poke handroll which was delightful – great choice of salmon which was on the fattier thus richer side. The set of 5 had 2 different rolls compared to set of 4 which was a hamachi poke roll and fried shrimp roll. The hamachi poke roll came with a spicy sweet sauce which was light and palatable. The fried shrimp roll was regular tempura. The remaining/shared rolls were fried oyster, spicy tuna and blue crab. They were surprisingly light and had complimentary sauces.
Happy hour snacks – croquette with curry and tsukune. Pretty worthwhile.
We got the umeboshi and virgin lychee which were yum.
Will definitely be back!

Amazing little Gem in the Heights. Best staff. Craft drinks made by Mixologists. Happy hour menu is amazing. Sushi beyond delicious. Highly recommend checking out this spot, along with their sister bar connected next door. Will not disappoint!

“I absolutely love this place! The fish always tastes incredibly fresh and clean, with flavors that are perfectly balanced and expertly prepared. The pork belly with pineapple is another must-try — tender, flavorful, and with just the right touch of sweetness from the pineapple. Every dish feels carefully crafted, and the presentation is always appealing. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, making it a perfect spot for both casual meals and special occasions. I can’t recommend it enough to anyone who loves high-quality, delicious food!”

Went there for happy hour this last Friday.
Clean, easy and friendly atmosphere. Felt like eating sushi at home with a close friend. Staff is nice and a positive vibe. You know when you can talk and be friendly but staff have boundaries and know you still a cliente. It’s so good! I don’t like when I go to a place and the staff act like you are besties and try to choose your food for you.
This definitely not gonna happen in here. Loved in every single whey. Wanna go back for a proper dinner. The food was great but I only had small bites and 2 cocktails. Lovely place.

I enjoyed Hando; the service was great and the weekday lunch menu is good and well priced. The handrolls were good, but not amazing. My favorite one was the hamachi roll, which was truly delicious. Fish quality in the salmon roll could have been better, it tasted a bit old (4/5 stars).

Purple cabbage and cucumbers, Shrimp lollipop, Fried blue crab, Chicken meatballs on skewers. Instead of Pinot Noir, I enjoyed a refreshing Lemon Mocktail. The food was flowing and we ate every bite. This is a tiny jewel box of deliciousness. Every bite was excellent, hearty and healthy. The atmosphere and music was equally pleasant and warm. 5 stars!!!!

We decided to give this a shot figuring it would be a one and done new place. I was extremely and pleasantly surprised. We will most definitely be going back!! It’s a very small but cozy and clean location. As you can see in the first picture, it’s very small. The only seating is what is seen in the photo and it’s all at the bar while we weren’t used to this. It was a nice new , and allowed us to enjoy watching the various foods and drinks be prepared. We chose a starter and a skewer to begin with. Then we both picked what is essentially their lunch deal. Neither of us really expected to get full because they only offer hand rolls and small portions. Nothing huge but surprisingly we left with happy full stomachs. The flavors were nice and clean and well balanced. The service was top-notch. The atmosphere vibes were really chill and nice and cozy. I would recommend bringing maybe one or two friends here or coming here for like a date night or lunch Definitely not for kids not handicap accessible at all if you’re looking for something new or to test your pallet, maybe or expand your pallet this is definitely the place to go! The prices were also very manageable. Our lunch deals were $21 a person and the we got starter and the skewer were $7 a piece. They have a nice little selection of house, cocktails, and alcoholic drinks small selection of nonalcoholic drinks and you get complementary water.
