Reviews
The servers keept forgetting our order . The food seems old and stale. No proper ventilation and the cooking smoke kept coming in dining area.
We ordered veg thali, Shahi paneer was full of sugar and too sweet , not authentic shahi paneer. Garlic Naan and tawa roti were ok. The owner need to improve the service and food quality.
The food was not good for the gut health.
The gulab jamun had hair in it as attached in picture
Will never visit again
Update to owner reply
We dine in on Sunday evening,, with due respect it did not meet our expectation as we were doing birthday celebration. Had a conversation with staff and asked for owner number and they said they font have it. We took sweet dish with us in provided containers by staff and posted picture next day when we had it. Nothing too harsh against you or restaurant.
Just keep yourself in our place, a person coming to restaurant for a important celebration and the staff forget about the naan and food getting cold on table, you ask them again and comes after 15 min. What is the significance of having dinner at restaurant. The review was the only way to bring it to your attention as staff did not provide owner contact information.
Pictures for owner reference and advise please don’t be rude in Google review reply unless you investigate yourself.
All around a pleasant experience. If you’re not in a hurry, dine in. The lady that served us was quite pleasant. However, she seemed a little overwhelmed. I think she was working alone, and dealing with UBER EATS and TAKE AWAY orders.
100% we will return.
UPDATE: I am updating my review as I went there yesterday for dinner with my family. It was a great experience overall. We ordered their Tandoori Paneer Tikka and Tandoori Soya Chaap as appetizers. They were mouthwatering, fresh and flavourful. The marination was properly done and it had a special Smokey flavour as it came right from Tandoor.
We also order Fresh Lemon Mojito and Milk Badam (it was delicious).
Then we ordered our main course, Karahi Paneer, Bhindi (Okra) masala, Dal Tadka (Kolkata Style) and vegetarian Manchurian with gravy along with garlic naan and tandoori roti. Karahi paneer was super yummy, gravy was full of flavours and paneer was super fresh. Bhindi Masala had a perfect taste and it was properly cooked. Their Kolkata style Dal Tadka made with Desi Ghee was the best dal I have ever had. It’s a must try dish!! The vegetarian Manchurian with gravy had a tangy flavour and we loved every bite of it. Their Garlic Naan is a must try as it came right out of Tandoor and was perfectly cooked.
For dessert, we ordered the hot gulab jamun with ice cream (yummmm yummm).
On top of everything, the customer service was top notch and the manager was very courteous and friendly. Overall, It was a fine dining experience.
They deserve more than 5 stars. It’s definitely a hidden gem in Toronto. I’m glad we found them and it’ll be our go to place in future. I wish them all the best.
1. Ordered 1 thing, got a different one.
We ordered a jeera paaper, non spicy for a toddler. They gave kaali mirch paaper which was fully spicy. Our baby cried. They said, they have only this available. And after 5 min, the girl brought jeera one which was half cooked. I have pics as a proof.
2. Asked their advice about naan.. paneer naan or chicken naan.. which one is more juicy and filled? They recommended Chicken naan. Which was absolutely paaper, not a naan from any angle. Had to return it.
Asked for thaali.. they offered certain items for thaali. No item was fresh. Daal called as Daal makhni in their menu, was actually an old frozen Maah cholyaan dee daal.
Mutton, krahi paneer, karhi all were stale.
Shahi paneer was excessively sweet.
Gajrela has too much sugar and khoya was khutta (sour) in it
They kept on forgetting our order for roti, naan.
We were just 7 adults, no other clients at that time.
JUST 1 thing was fresh and tasty… garlic naan.
And tawa roti.
Tandoori roti was hard.
Outside, the walk way had a step, which is not noticeable. My daughter’s foot got hurt.
I usually am not picky eater and never leave left overs in my plate..but this was really not worth eating.
I have pics to prove these reviews.
It was a birthday celebration for one of our family members. But all got ruined.
Front desk girl was polite and said sorry for everything, but that doesn’t help.
