Hanabishi Japanese Cuisine is an incredible restaurant. The environment is relaxing, and inviting, and the service is remarkable. I was also amazed by the affordable and fair prices they charge and the outstanding service and attention to detail. This is easily the best affordable sushi restaurant in Livermore. This place is a relatively new discovery and I’m so glad we tried it. We’ve been twice now and both times the sushi rolls were delicious. I appreciate the good size of the specialty rolls and not as expensive as other places. It makes sushi night an option more often.

Quick, mediocre sushi at reasonable prices.
We ordered a chirashi ($19) and California rolls ($4) for takeout. The staff was friendly and the food was fast (ready in 15 mins). They were also kind enough to substitute tuna for the tamago in the chirashi. The fish was okay and I wished there was more rice. The California rolls were good but on the smaller side, but also only $4 each! Overall, I think it’s a good spot for quick and relatively cheap sushi, but I will probably choose elsewhere next time.

Good value for the food and service that you get. We got the two item combo and I have to say I was not impressed with the mushy rice and the heavy batter on the tempura but they make interesting little salads. In fact their green salad is the best I’ve had in a Japanese restaurant. Do not get the Inari sushi as it is tasteless though the tskimino is good to add into it.

Visiting from Vancouver Canada. The place was clean. Food was great. Tried their scallop roll. It was awesome, crispy outside and the scallops are fresh; at least they did not taste like frozen scallops.
