Service and food were Excellent. Food presentation was thoughtful and very well executed. Only thing is the fish had a few bones. A bit more dilligent prep could have a avoided this although it was very minimal. The steak was already only warm by the time it arrived at our table would have preferred a hotter dish for a steak main course otherwise a truly great experience still 5 stars.

Amazing place. We start at the bar with some alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktails. They were original and great we loved it. The onigiri with wakame seaweed were great same for the tarama. Then we went to the restaurant the poireau fondant with l oeuf confit was delicious and the mille feuille de foie gras was perfect. Then we had a chirashi and a tonkatsu with some sake.
The food were marvellous. And the service was perfect from the barmaid to the waitress. Thank you for this beautiful moment.

Edited: Unfortunately, I need to update my review. I was amazed by the food and service in November, but my recent visit was highly disappointing. All fish portions are now half the size they used to be. There is much more rice than fish. I had to serve myself water, and they completely ruined my trench coat by squeezing it in the cloakroom. I am not coming back.

We were quite disappointed by the food after seeing all the ravishing reviews about this place. Overall, the food was good but nothing exceptional. Our biggest let down are the wagyu beef and the sea urchin udon. The wagyu lost all of his original flavour and just was drenched of pepper sauce. The udon was just not for us because of the mix of cream and sea urchin which were a too fatty combo.
However, the service was quite good and very efficient.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Genuinely. The baby squid tempura and the crispy risotto are delicious ever single time, and the bavette steak is one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten.

Restaurant Review: Hanabi, Paris

Tucked away in Paris, Hanabi offers an undeniably chic and sophisticated ambiance, setting high expectations from the moment you walk in. However, while the atmosphere is top-notch, the culinary experience leaves room for improvement, especially at its price point.

We started with a delightful amuse bouche which was salty, creamy and crunchy. Loved this!

We moved onto the crab risotto and wagyu beef tenderloin, but unfortunately, both dishes missed the mark. The risotto, in particular, was undercooked, which detracted from the otherwise delicate flavors of the dishes. While the wagyu was good, especially the sauce, it sadly did not leave an impression.

The cocktails were fine, but nothing to rave about—certainly not what you’d hope for given the restaurant’s elevated status. Mostly too tart and what seemed to be lacking alcohol.

The real star of the evening was the Camembert cheese tempura with yuzu jam. Crisp on the outside, creamy on the inside, and paired with the tangy brightness of yuzu, this dish was a standout and a testament to what the kitchen can achieve.

For the price, however, we couldn’t help but feel the food and drinks lacked the exceptional quality that makes for a truly memorable dining experience. If you’re seeking an evening with impeccable ambiance and a few standout bites, Hanabi is worth a visit, but if you’re after consistently elevated flavors, you might leave wanting more.
