Spicy Sichuan dishes like dan dan noodles are heat-rated by number at this informal restaurant.

Went here and was excited to try their Dan Dan noodles. Ended up getting that and the fried green beans. The atmosphere was great, there were just two things I wasn’t a fan of.
The food was cooked very well, but it had little spice. This was a disappointment, particularly because this restaurant says it is a Sichuan restaurant and I had no Sichuan peppercorns in either my my dishes. Both were listed as spicy, with at least one up to 7/10. To me it was a 2/10 but again that’s subjective. Really, the dishes should have had Sichuan peppercorns no matter the slice level.
What also happened was that I found there was happy hour (food and drinks) when there, but only if I was sitting at the bar. I wasn’t offered the seating option when I entered, only to the dining area. One, it’s odd that happy hour is only based on seating, but two to not be offered that when walking in was confusing and unhelpful. In the future, I hope that is made clear during happy hour or the seating dependence is removed.
Overall food is great, it just needs more spice. And please either remove the seating policy for happy hour or make it clear to customers when they come in.

We are big fans of the NYC outposts of Han Dynasty so it was fun to visit the mother ship. Food was delicious as always, staff was young and fun, but dishes and vibe were different too. We loved the happy hour menu which goes to 6:30. It encouraged us to try fried chicken dumplings and spicy pork belly which were delicious. Seemed like a lot of locals in there having fun. Then we had the dan Dan noodles (spicy!!!), shredded duck and a plate of fresh peas greens, two favorites. All yummy!

I’ve traveled to 11 cities across China and had the chance to experience an incredible range of bold, vibrant, and regional dishes. Han Dynasty truly brought those flavors back for me. The spices, depth, and balance in every dish were spot on, and everything tasted thoughtfully prepared and authentic. Anything spicy here is an absolute must-try — rich heat, complex flavors, and incredibly satisfying. I loved my experience and will definitely be back. A must-visit in Philadelphia for anyone who appreciates real Chinese cuisine. ️

Great food, moderate service and needs refinement on the staff. We had a large party and they had NO IDEA where anything was going which lead to MANY mix ups between our tables (seat numbers table numbers, hello???) I had verified that I had a gluten allergy with the server, yet I have been having a reaction since eating there (obviously cross contained via poor kitchen etiquette and no training in allergy needs such as changing cooking utensils, safe surfaces, etc). NOT CELIAC SAFE NOT ALLERGY SAFE. Else wise the environment was cute, and was a good time.

Stopped by here for a late lunch with the family. It was close to our hotel (walking distance). We went during a time when it wasn’t busy. We were welcomed by a staff member who seated us right away. Those who took our order and brought out the food were friendly and efficient. Overall, the food was good. The scallion pancakes were a little on the smaller size. The shrimp for the honey walnut dish was not what we had initially expected — it was breaded, similar to that of Chinese chicken fingers — but still good. The shrimp lo mein had an added taste which I was trying to identify. It reminded me of pork or some kind of meat — but again, still good.
The place was nice, spacious with high ceilings, and has a huge bar. It reminded me of a bar/lounge back in NYC, but it was a little dim.
Overall, it was a decent place to get some Chinese food in the area. Also, I believe they will be moving locations soon.

If I could leave a negative number to rate the food I would go that route. First off let me say this was our first time here, upon entering there was no one at the hostess counter so we had to wait to be seated, not a big deal. The server was pleasant, she explained the menu to us, and walked us through the heat guide, Great! There was one other table sat when we got there, so the restaurant was empty for 1pm. We ordered our food. We ordered the pan fried vegetable dumpling, the chicken fried dumplings, scallion pancake, dan dan noodles, and Hans chicken. First dish out was the Dan Dan noodles. These noodles were out and on the table in less than 5 minutes and it showed. The food wasn’t hot, the noodles were congealed, and the sauce was very greasy. There was absolutely no heat to this dish either. Second dish to come were the chicken dumplings and the scallion pancake. Although the scallion pancake looked beautifully cooked, they too were greasy! There was so much grease in the pancake that when you took a fork and pressed it, the grease came bubbling out on the other side, disgusting! Both chicken and vegetable dumplings were soggy with grease as well! The Hans chicken took so long to come out, we actually think they forgot to make it. It was nothing to write home about. The sauce is really sweet to the point it tastes like caramel was added. The chicken was fried so hard it was almost inedible. The restaurant did take off the Dan Dan Noodles and the chicken dumplings and for that we were appreciative, but this was not a good culinary experience. I feel like a first year culinary student could have pulled this off better than what it was. A shame

Really large portion sizes for a very reasonable price and quick service. Overall the taste of the food was pretty good, but I think I’d order something different next time or at least come with a group to share in the sheer amount of food

Han dynasty is always a delight! It was so sad that the old spot is gone! But so glad their food taste has not changed! Our server was very friendly!
For starters: The Szechuan fries and Dan noodles are the highlight ! Definitely the best combo to start with!
The fish hot sauce is a MUST!
P.S THEY ARE NOT BYOB ANYMORE

If you’re in search of an authentic Chinese restaurant with top-tier cuisine, this is definitely the place to be. The dishes are bursting with flavor, and while some of them have a bit of a spicy kick, the heat is more than worth it because the food is absolutely delicious. Every bite is a perfect balance of sweet, and tangy, making it a must-visit spot for anyone who appreciates flavorful, high-quality Chinese food.
