Love this locally owned restaurant. It never disappoints. They have the best stuffed pepper soup! You gotta order the tomato cheese garlic bread for an appetizer. My husband had the prime rib and said it was both tender and juicy. The service has always been great as well. Our dinner was all around phenomenal!

I was in the area for a work assignment, and I had the great opportunity to visit Hammers in Michigan City. It was a busy Saturday night, but we were greeted by a very lovely hostess as well as the owner, Sheri. The atmosphere is lovely; the bar area was warm and inviting and there was a great space outside for people to gather and eat. This is the kind of place that still hand writes the specials on a chalkboard for the customers. Everything we had was delicious; we had the baked meatballs and cheese garlic bread as an appetizer. I enjoyed a half a rack of ribs and French onion soup. my coworker had the lasagna, and raved about it. all of the servers were affable, efficient, and pleasant. When we arrived, it was rather busy, but the owner herself brought our drinks to our table so that we would not have to wait too long. This establishment, Hammers in Michigan City, owned by Sheri and Ken Larson, is a must visit! Highly recommend.

The food is so good here!! I love the fresh ingredients. My husband and I had lunch here the hostess was so nice. Our server was super nice. There was a small incident with my salad but they fixed it right away. I will be back. I loved our experience here.

Great place to eat. I could critique the appetizers being kinda expensive for what you get or how they are cooked but honestly it’s some of the best food I’ve eaten out lately. Pizza was tasty and lots of cheese, service was great.

Decided to stop in for a cocktail and some food on Friday. Had the oysters rockefeller and bruschetta and pizza. Oysters and bruschetta were just OK, pizza was good. Kind of expensive service was good, one of the nicest places in town.
