The service was AMAZING!!! I’ve never been treated better. The sweet young lady, Nicole, helped me pick my sandwich. She’s very knowledgeable and the kindness person ever, I left the stand in a happier mood. The cook, Juan, did such an amazing job with my sandwich. It was worth the money! I am going to come back! since this became my new favorite joint.

Looking for a quality meal in a mall food court is challenging. Halsted Street Deli had friendly service. We sampled the chicken noodle soup and found it tasty but not overly salty. It tasted like they made it there not from a can. The panninis were satisfying. We ate it in the food court and they were crunchy, not sure if they would stay that way.

The owner, Mike, is very friendly and SO helpful. They have so many gluten-free and vegan options (and are willing to try new things) that my whole family was able to eat here with no problems! They made a corned beef sandwich on gluten-free bread for my son and they were able to make a vegan tuna sandwich for me on gluten-free bread with vegan mayonnaise and dairy free cheese that was delicious! I hope they get a lot of customers there to keep them open.

I got the pastrami here. Thr full was like the size of a homemade sandwich your mom would make you as a kid.

The pasta salad side was super sour and overdressed and came in a little sauce cup thing.
I paid $16 for the “meal”. While this isnt much more than some delis, delis give you double the portion of everything.

Been meaning to try this place for a while now and finally did. It’s nice that they have options of ordering half or full sandwiches. The food was very good as was the side of coleslaw I ordered to go with it. Service was fast and friendly also. Will be back.
