So today was our first time trying Halal Urban Thai and boy we’re surprised that we haven’t tried them earlier. We normally drive all the way to Rochester Hills about a 30 minute drive to Suko Thai and after today no more long drive because this place is even better. Their food was amazing and the service was good but I think could’ve been just a little bit better. The only thing they lacked was not checking back on how everything was and not bussing and clearing between courses. We ordered the chicken tom yum which was very flavorful. The fried rice was spot on. The drunken noodles was probably the best one we’ve had anywhere. Lastly the beef and broccoli was also good but could’ve used a little bit more salt. Their spice levels are spot on also that we didn’t need to use any extra. The place is clean and very vibrant. Perfect place for families and gatherings. Good job Halal Urban Thai well be back!

We’ve tried this Thai place twice now, and both times the quality has been outstanding. On our first visit, we ordered takeout: the Wonton Soup and the Traditional House Fried Rice — Beef (hot) and Chicken (mild). The soup was delicious, and the spice level of the fried rice was perfectly balanced.
On our second visit, we tried the Fried Chicken Dumplings, Fried Wontons, Wonton Soup, Beef Pad Thai Curry Noodles (medium), Beef (hot) & Chicken (medium) Traditional House Fried Rice, and Beef Basil Fried Rice (medium). Every dish was amazing and cooked to perfection, with spot-on spice levels once again.
The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful, and the service and hospitality are exceptional. Thank you for the wonderful experience — we’ll definitely be coming back!

I really loved Sushi Coop, which was in this space before Halal Urban Thai. The good news is that much of Sushi Coop’s menu is still available and tastes the same. However, there are so many more dishes now and they’re fantastic. The steamed dumplings were wonderful especially with the incredible spicy lime dipping sauce (save the sauce to pour over rice). Szechuan fried chicken stir fry was delicious & perfectly spiced. Lots more on the menu that I want to try.

As someone who has been to Thailand, Halal Urban Thai is one of the only restaurants to capture the balanced, flavorful, and aromatic palette that is the signature of Thailand. We ordered their Spicy Szechuan Chicken (medium) and Udon Kee Mao (mild), as well as their Thai tea. Each dish was made to perfection.
The Spicy Szechuan Chicken had an excellent flavor; the texture was perfect, lightly crisped on the outside with juicy chicken on the inside. You could tell that the oil used to cook the food was of high quality.
The Udon Kee Mao includes authentic Japanese Udon noodles seasoned to perfection. The thick noodles have a chili soy sauce that pairs excellently with the chicken. An incredible mixture of flavors gave them the perfect amount of spice.
By the way, their spice is legit so be cautious of getting food that is too spicy! They use authentic Thai spice.
The Thai tea was the best finishing touch. Most places make theirs too sweet, but this was the perfect level of sweetness and flavor.
We will definitely make this a regular spot and are so happy that they opened up! I wish I knew about this place 8 months ago when they first started.

Service was great. Food came quick. We asked for spice they gave us SPICE! I got the honey chicken with extra spice and it was amazing. My wife got drunken noodle. I thought it was good but not my thing. (I ordered it for her.)
Decent portions food came out hot. Overall this is a place I will return to.
Bonus closes at 10 on a Friday night. Most places were closed in this area.
