Tried the Chicken Over Rice platter with spicy rice at Halal Munchies and it did not disappoint. The chicken was super flavorful, the spicy rice had just the right kick, and the white sauce tied everything together perfectly without overpowering it. The fries added a nice crunch and rounded out the meal really well. Decent portion size and great taste overall. Highly recommend!

Best cheeseburger I’ve had in a while. Made fresh and big. The white sauce added great flavor. The fries were also fresh and nice and crisp and the seasoning is delicious. My partner also loved the chicken platter. Also was given a sample of the mango yogurt and that was really good too.

No exaggeration some of the best food ivd had in my life. Im surprised they don’t have more traffic. Portions are very well sized I was full halfway through. Prices are pretty good and the food is amazing. You can also ask them to try before you buy. Its also right around the corner from my work so I will definitely be coming back.

We went tonight and all 3 of us had the platter mix combo with white sauce. The boys got fries but I opted for the humus. Absolutely delicious! Wonderful flavor, the temperature was perfect and so quick. As we left and were pulling out of the parking lot one of the gentlemen came running up to the truck. Apparently I left my purse hanging on the side of the chair and bless him for being so quick and coming outside looking for us. I couldn’t be more thankful. I hate purses and typically have it sitting next to me but had no room with all the food. Wonderful staff who definitely go out of their way and delicious large portions. We definitely will going back and trying something else off the menu.

The meat is very tender, the portions are very generous, and it has great flavor. All the ingredients taste fresh, and the prices are very affordable. I’ve never had any problems. Whatever you’re doing, keep it up; you’re the best!

Tried a new restaurant in the Middletown area. Never thought I’d see a halal restaurant there but there it was! We got the chicken kofta gyro and lamb platter. Both meals were delicious! My one thing was the food was drenched in tzakiki. Both my platter and the gyro were drenched in it. I did get a half a portion of the pita bread which brought my meal together for me.
Overall, the food was fresh and delicious! A great addition to Middletown and surrounding area. Just make sure you ask for only a reasonable amount of sauce on the platter or gyros. Don’t expect too much in terms of service either.

My husband and I both got the lamb platters and thought they were excellent. We’ll definitely be back to try the gyros and other options. Everything was fresh and just a nice variety from the other places nearby. Highly recommend checking it out!

I really enjoyed this place! The food is halal, fresh, and very delicious. Everything was clean and well-prepared. The staff at the counter was very polite and friendly. Overall, a great experience — I will definitely come back!

So many great flavors! So many fusion type restaurants try too hard and fail to impress. Halal Munchies is no such place!
I ordered a chicken spicy rice platter which came with a cucumber, lettuce, tomato, dill salad, cabbage, tasty rice (reminded me of biryani), a subtly spicy red chicken and onion “stew,” that was covered with an, I’m assuming, yogurt dill sauce that was not overpowering but in fact complimented the chicken and rice well, French fries (so weird, but, wow! So perfect and crispy!!) and an addictive red hot sauce and a green chutney on the side. I might have to get the yogurt sauce on the side next time because the chicken itself was absolutely amazing too! For those bites where I may have applied too much of the hot sauce (addicting, I tell you!), the creamy perfectly sweet mango lassi saved me from having to reach for the cucumbers and Pepcid. Well done!!!
Oh, and lest I forget, the folks behind the counter were out of this world patient and accommodating!
