recently visited Halal Boyz and decided to try their chicken tikka for the first time. I have to say, it was absolutely delicious! The chicken was incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. I also took the cashier’s recommendation to try the extra crispy pita bread, and it was a fantastic choice. The pita was perfectly crispy and added a wonderful texture that paired beautifully with the chicken.
The service was really friendly, and the staff was eager to help with recommendations. I left feeling satisfied and excited to return. If you’re looking for a great halal spot, I highly recommend trying the chicken tikka with crispy pita bread. Can’t wait to go back

Truly sad that this place has been going downhill over the years. Halal Boyz has been my go to spot up until now. The food quality is bad and the chicken tenders I received were not even edible and undercooked. Stringy meat that felt like I was chewing rubber. They charged me $17 for these tenders plus a small sum of fries that were soggy. If you’re craving good affordable chicken tenders, make your way towards a halal munchies instead. The cooks here are always in a rush and yelling at each other. Almost everything they sell is made of frozen food and the “lamb” meat they use is not even real lamb. It’s just soft cubes of meat, that only have a “lamb” flavor. I’m not even sure if the meat they use are 100% halal. Not planning on returning again, waste of money and food ended up in trash.
EDIT- To reply to the owner, do the pictures of the tenders look like “high quality” chicken to you? Would you even consume that? And for $17?? Maybe I should record your “professional team” the next time I pass by to show how they really are. Yelling and alerting each other in a non-discreet manner, in front of customers. You should definitely focus on training your team instead of claiming that your top priority is serving fresh “high quality” food

I had the chicken and rice platter. It was very good. there are good sides to put on your platter too, which enhance the flavor-pickels, olives, etc.

Halal Boys in Fresh Meadows is a solid late-night halal spot open until 2 AM, perfect for quick, satisfying eats. I grabbed the mixed Kofta platter with beef and chicken, swapping the fries for pita bread. The chicken was juicy and well-seasoned (8/10), while the beef landed around a 7/10. The fries were awesome, and the fast service and generous portions make it a great value. With a huge menu and cheap prices, it’s a top pick when you want variety without breaking the bank.

It’s literally love at first bite ! The “mix over rice” is incredible, and has everything you need in a one plate dish. I went to Halal Boyz two times in 48 hours. This was my first visit to NYC and I don’t feel that I’ll be trying any other halal place in any borough. It’s that tasty !

Old review: By far the BEST halal chicken over rice I have ever tasted. It’s so good that I skip the sauce and only get it with the cucumber salad. So much flavor going on in this dish . Been eating here since it opened and the place only gets better. WELL DONE

Came here 6:30 pm. Noticed new Interior make over. About 3 customers ahead of me. Double parked outside and standing in line for 10 minutes to order. No one tells me that the service has changed , you need to pay at cashier first before someone helps you.
Not organized & service is slow. Food is still good…

Ordered mixed meat with pita bread, chicken over rice….
Portion was big and the salad (come with..)was fresh. Even the pita bread was fresh and soft.

Ordered their lamb over rice. Lamb is flavorful and well seasoned, salad and sauce are refreshing. Place is very clean and bright. The only minus point is the meat portion is a bit less than I expected.
