Haka catered my small, intimate wedding (for about 50 people) in October and it was amazing. We had guests from all different backgrounds and everyone raved about the food. Presentation was superb and the service was excellent. Thank you to Haka for such a wonderful catering experience.

As an avid food reviewer, this is our third time visiting Haka in the last 4 years. This is definitely the last time.

We made a reservation for 6 people, a few days prior. We came in when they just opened up and there were only two other people seated. The front desk told us they don’t see our reservation. They sat us down at the only table not set up at all. We even asked two staff members if we can sit at another table but they said those are all reserved. This made no sense to us because we literally reserved and came before all other reservations.

Nonetheless, we had to keep asking for plates, utensils, napkins, cups, everything. Other tables were served before us even though we were the first ones to place an order.

Chicken Manchurian tasted like frozen IKEA meatballs.

Lamb vindaloo tasted like chewy beef curry. Spices were off and they loaded it with potatoes. Barely any meat at all.

We also got the chill garlic fried rice and schezwan noodles which tasted very off. Definitely not worth the money.

The only decent food item was the crispy tuna rice.

Overall, the service was horrendous and the food quality was abysmal for the amount of money spent. They automatically factor in tips so you’re still forced to pay for a subpar experience.

For a place that looks chic, it’s definitely not worth going to again.

I went to Haka to celebrate my daughter’s 20th birthday and it was THE BEST decision on a restaurant!! They accommodated 11 guests, children included. The environment was very fun, energetic and welcoming. We let them know we were there for a birthday dinner celebration and immediately Sandy began DJing some fun music, Devinder was our server and was so pleasant, kind and friendly. She, as well as Raman and Gigi were all nice and provided us all with excellent customer service. The food was very DELICIOUS!! Everyone ordered different things for example: The lamb was exceptionally tender and cooked to perfection, others ordered, General Tso chicken with broccoli, Butter chicken, chicken tikka masala and not a complaint at the table. They brought my daughter’s cake out (that we provided) and had the DJ was ready. Also, I would like to note that they also played songs by request which made our experience there much more special. I recommend going to Haka if you’re looking to have a fun dinner experience. They are all truly THE BEST!!

We hosted our daughter’s birthday party with 24 guests at Haka. Everything was fantastic! All of the dishes were freshly made and tasty! The mixed grill and honey bites are awesome! The staff were friendly and accommodating and carefully staged each course throughout the meal. And the vibe was right with good music! We’ll definitely be back!

I have been going here for quite some time. I’d like to start off by saying how wonderful the service is. Sandy has been our server every time I go, and he is always such a pleasure even the woman who works at the front. We go so often they recognize us!
They have created this welcoming environment for me and my family!
The food is delicious, I have tried many of the dishes from the Cauliflower Bloom, their Indian Chinese and their Indian dishes. Everything is drool worthy and flavorful!

I highly recommend this restaurant and cannot wait to go back!!

Thank you!

I’m shocked at how much this restaurant has declined. It used to be one of the top spots in Hicksville with amazing service, quick food, and a great vibe. We used to visit often before moving to Pennsylvania. There was a DJ who took our orders and always made our family feel welcome, and Rammy would give us a good table. The service was top notch. My mom recently warned me that everything had changed — staff, quality, overall experience — but I insisted on going one more time. It was a very poor experience.

The entire staff seemed new, and even the chefs appeared to have changed. A new lady at the counter made us wait to be seated. We weren’t sure if she was the owner’s daughter. Our table had no water or utensils, and although we were five people, she brought only two menus. She had to call someone else to bring water and cutlery.

One guest ordered hot and sour soup but got sweet corn soup. We clearly requested no peas in the fried rice due to an allergy, but it came with peas. When we mentioned it, she responded loudly and aggressively, insisting that’s what we ordered and ignoring us. She was acting like the boss all the time. She barely knew the menu , food descriptions and all but still attitude 100%. The food took about 40 minutes. Papad came without sauces. The butter chicken was watery, mostly cream, and tasteless. The Indian food was disappointing; only the Chinese food and sushi were edible.

The music was extremely loud and inappropriate for a family setting (one song was “Shake It to the Max”). We asked several times to lower it, but she ignored us. We could barely talk.

The restroom had no toilet paper, smelled bad, and the floor was wet. Glass and plate carts blocked the walkway. The kitchen staff were very loud, and staff gathered at the counter talking while our table had no water , we had to ask four times.

One staff member kept staring at us, awkwardly approaching our table, forcing conversation with my mom, oversharing her personal struggles, interrupting us, and even taking a drink from our table without asking. She barely let us eat. My mom’s food got cold while she talked, yet my mom still tipped her $20 out of sympathy. Other tables were complaining too regarding service.

At the end, we asked to split the bill between two cards, but she charged everything to one card. We were exhausted and just wanted to leave. We truly miss the old restaurant — the old staff, service, quality, and atmosphere. This visit was extremely disappointing.

Never going back. Waste of money.

Overall a good experience, we went over a weekend without reservations, and it was jam-packed. 1st, the attendant said no seats were available at the moment, but shortly after, she gave us a table closer to the entrance It was one cold night we had to sit in our jackets, traffic through door was letting a cold wind blow in constantly.
The ambiance is excellent. There was no visible halal sign, so we asked a person at the cashier desk and he verbally confirmed and also mentioned that they are on Zabiha.com too.

As for food, it was good,Overall., i got super excited for American chop suey, but it was different than what we used to have in Pakistan. I believe it’s an Indian restaurant, so overall food has slightly different taste. Loved their crab Sushi, corn soup was okay. 1 order gives you individual serving. My kids loved their Thai green curry. We also ordered sweet and sour shrimps, and waitresses informed us that it would be more on the sweeter side, and it definitely was.Would love to return to try their “desi food.”

Definitely would recommend reserving a table beforehand.

Also, there were so many ppl for bday dinner, and I loved how they turned on disco lights with Indian bday song when serving them bday cake slice, every single time. Though we were there for a bday dinner too coincidentally but we didn’t mention or/and ordered any sweets.
