The food was excellent. Atmosphere was calm. Service was polite. Prices are affordable. One of my sons had 2 sushi orders and a lemonade for under 20$ leaving a little over 2$ for tip. My 1 and only complaint would be that the yum yum sauce seemed like it was thinned out to be stretched for savings. Bill was 30$ per person average (Almost exactly). Appetizer was cream cheese crab wonton. A big hit the dipping sauce was perfect.

Maddie was our server tonight and she reccomend the Omakase experience. We mentioned the boat, but we were not prepared for what arrived on our table. This boat was out of this world. There is no better sushi restaurant within 15 miles of Hajime, maybe even further. The hot saki is also very flavorful. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are craving sushi!

Food was phenomenal. Service was excellent but the kitchen was swamped. 2 out of 4 people had eaten before the sushi was ready for the remaining people. Chose tonight for a birthday celebration to avoid the chaos of the Holiday tomorrow but I was disappointed in an over 2 hour wait for the sushi boat (which was excellent once it was ready)

I initially chose this restaurant due to convenience and my love for “Bars associated with restaurants”… “happy hour”, lives up to its name with me. I had the “three sushi roll variety plate”… all were equally as good. Service was great and my server was “down to earth”, and welcoming, as well as attentive.

I think this is our new favorite sushi haunt. We ordered different sushi rolls this time. They were served together on the same platter and they were very tasty. Fresh rolled perfectly and the actual pieces of sushi were more bite-sized than what you would normally get, so you could take one piece and 1 bite without stuffing your mouth too full. The gyoza was outstanding. Probably our number one favorite gyoza in the Twin Cities.

Great food and lovely atmosphere. Not bad pricing with great fresh sushi! I have celiacs and they were able to accommodate me and make substitutions and I didn’t have a reaction! The waitress answered all the questions I had about cross contamination no problem! I only knock down one star because the menu doesn’t indicate gluten free anywhere so I had to lean on the waitress for what I could get.

I am a huge sushi fanatic. This has become my regular go to place – especially for late night sushi! The vibe is great! I have been coming here so regularly that I made it through the entire specialty roll menu in a month. They just updated the menu too. I finally got to try Sea Urchin – So awesome that they have it on the menu! It was DELICIOUS!
The blonde bartender is great as well! Super friendly, fun, and makes great martinis!

I have come here many times over the year and always had a great experience. 5 stars for the price, food and service. They always have items on the menu you won’t find at many other places besides the really high end sushi bars. I was delighted to see see urchin and fatty tuna on the menu. Had to get some fatty tuna and it was definitely the highlight of my meal. The specialty rolls are enormous and could be a meal by themselves. I also had the barbecue squid which was cooked perfectly so it was tender and not rubbery. I believe they have some real talent in the kitchen from the sushi cuts to the drink decorations I saw some crazy knife skills. Highly recommend this place.
