Our server was fantastic. She was friendly and efficient. The mocktail selection was creative which I appreciated. More than juice, soda, and a garnish.
We opted for the salami and cheese board. We were underwhelmed with the selection of cheeses. They all seemed very similar. It would have been nice for the person delivering it to explain what was what on the board.
We had hoped to try the Tartufo Pizza but they were out so we went with the Margherita and added fennel sausage. Great flavor but I wish the crust was just the tiniest bit crispier. Unfortunately I don’t remember the pasta we shared, but it had well-balanced flavor with a touch of heat to it.
Dessert was fine but I had hoped to have been a bit more impressed by it. It was a good meal overall, but a few misses here and there prevents a full five-star review.
Surprisingly classy and upscale ambiance. Our server was decent but the restaurant was busy on a Saturday night and our drinks sat empty for quite a while. Their pastas looked delicious and warrant another visit!
From the first time I called to make a reservations for a large party to the re-scheduling to the following weekend due to a death in the family, the girl(s) on the phone could not be more professional and accommodating. I was told they would make it work but we might have to sit outside as the 8-top already had a reservation for Oct. 17th. However, when we arrived, we were seated right away at an 8-top inside. Our server, Viridiana, was so great and took very good care of us. As the plethora of drink orders came at her, she was cool as a cucumber and delivered the drinks, and the continuation of drinks throughout the night, with accuracy. She chuckled when I handed her my phone with our entire party’s order and said “This is awesome. Are you in the service industry?” No, we are just foodies with an understanding of how hard it is to take care of a large group, and any little bit helps.
Our pizzas and apps came out quickly, followed by all of the pastas. We took a vote and here were the favorites dishes of the night: The Corn and Truffle Arancini, Fagioli Fritti, Sea Salt Focaccia, Spicy Mafaldine (!!!) Bucatini add meatballs, Rigatoni con Ragu, and all of the pizzas. The only dish we all didn’t love was the Cacio e Pepe.
They gave us a complimentary large Lemon Sundae for the birthday! That was a perfect bite for us all to share to end the evening. I will recommend Coda Di Volpe to everyone I know who is going to be in the area, and when we visit again, you will be the first reservation we make. Ciao!
