Busy place on a Friday night but not much wait for table and great service. Loved the lighting and vibrant atmosphere. My only complaint was my wontons were not hot, tasted like they were sitting out a while. I got the mango roll and California rolls. The Mango roll I give 9/10 great flavor! The California a 7/10. A great date night or time with family. Also a bar and if you don’t like sushi they have many cooked options, ramen, etc. Will definitely return!

Great suburb option for sushi! The sushi wasn’t frozen, the wasabi was hot, the rice was sticky. Can’t ask for much more! We waited a bit for a table on a Saturday night but it wasn’t for very long. Server was really friendly and asked us our thoughts on everything we ordered. I recommend ordering the Omakase – the sushi chef picked excellent items! So good!! We also enjoyed the Hero roll and the ocean lover roll.

I do not like sushi, but went there with some friends who are into sushi. Everyone liked the sushi varieties and had only good things to say about the quality and quantity. I ordered a beef fried rice and it was ok. Quantity and price was good. People are very nice and the place is well maintained. The place was really crowded, may be it’s a good sign that people like the place.

I came here for dinner with my family and overall we had a great time. All the food we got came out quick, and it was all absolutely amazing. I also saw a lunch menu on the other side, and my jaw dropped at these affordable prices for great quality food. My only concern is the service. I barely saw my waitress, and we had dirty plates sitting on our table for a while. Also, there are oysters on the menu, but the waitress told me they were out. I asked when they would be back in stock, and she says they no longer have them. She said it’s on the menu because it costs the business $8,000-$10,000 to print new menus. She was just overall kind of rude about it. Please update your menu. If it costs too much to do that, please go through, and scratch it out with a pen on each menu. I got my hopes up really high for some raw oysters, just to be told it is not even a menu item, but for some reason it’s on the menu….

The food was great and the atmosphere was remarkable! Lots of alcohol available if that’s your thing. Amazing lunch menu for fast deals and great meals!

Exceptional flavors and quality sushi. We made the trek from Maple Grove because Hajime has the best sushi we’ve been able to find in the Twin Cities!

Our family loves this place. Lots of varieties of sushi and other Asian cuisine. Our server Jen was great as always and the food was delicious. They have a chicken hibachi now that is way better than Osaka. The portions are more and the fried rice actually has chicken in it! They also have a happy hour after 9pm. Place is always clean and nice. Great place for Asian cuisine.

It’s a good experience in general. Nice atmosphere, good and quick service considering how busy they are. Honestly when compares to sushi in California, it will be average, but probably good enough for this area. Mussels was good, fried rice was delicious, but sushi rice is kind of too dry

Food was pretty good for the most part. Chicken in our fried rice was terrible. The menu was not very explanatory like what you get with some of the entrées or meals. The cleanliness especial in the bathroom was gross. I’m happy I went but honestly don’t care if I ever do again.

Hajime is our go-to restaurant in Blaine. We almost always go during happy hour with our kids (age 11). We order solely sushi from the happy hour menu for 4 people along with the Spicy Kani Salad and we usually spend about $100-$125 which generally includes a round or two of happy hour drinks. The service is always great, they usually know exactly what we want when we get there! Recommend for sushi or their hibachi menu – their fried rice and yum yum sauce is delicious!
