I just really, really love this place! For me, there is a nostalgia factor as well because Missouri is the one and only state where you can get these wings, and I don’t live there. I’m visiting for now, and I think it’s admirable how well this restaurant is holding its own against more corporate chicken chains.

Heard and read great things about this spot, so I wanted to make sure I stopped in. We sat in the sports room. Tons of TVs, plenty of high tops. Had a group of people doing their fantasy draft and seemed like there was plenty of room to do that. Our server Cassandra came over, helped us with all the beers on tap and answered menu questions for us.
Decided to order the 5 piece garlic parm and a 5 piece suicide sauce. Note that you cannot order two sauces with the 10 piece, you have to order two 5 piece orders. The prices for a 5 piece seem a bit high at $8.50 though.
Wings came out very quick and were cook pretty close to how I like them. The skin wasn’t too crispy, was just right. The meat easily came off the bone. I appreciated the amount of actual parm that came on the garlic parm, but I was missing that garlic punch to complement it. If you’re looking for heat, maybe ask for an extra side of suicide sauce. I didn’t find it to be much hotter than a typical buffalo style sauce. Having said that, the flavor of the sauce was tasty and I would 10/10 recommend for flavor, but lower your heat expectations.

Called the best wings in Missouri, and i can’t argue! The sause is made in house, and they are not stingy with it. Your wings come dripping with flavor.
I really enjoyed the smoked buffalo chicken dip, it is not too spicy and the chips were perfect.

If I could give 100 stars I would! Absolutely THE best wings around!!! The owner is a fantastic guy and his staff is super friendly. We get their wings every Sunday for football! If you are deciding weather or not to try this place… GO FOR IT!!! You will NOT be disappointed !!!

I have taken many friends and made customers out of them all.
This Sunday was no different, we had the Parmesan Garlic, the Hot & Honey (my fave), and the Cajun. All were spectacular!
We got there early and we were at the door when they opened. Hackett’s did not disappoint!
Only thing- we sat down and immediately noticed the music was very loud. We were the only people in the place as they were just opening. But the music was just too loud. My friend and I had to lean in on each other just to visit. That was a little annoying.
The place was clean, the staff was friendly and the food was amazing.
I highly recommend it and will return for sure.

If you’re looking for your favorite wing place look no further….this is IT! Every flavor is delicious. My favorite is the buffalo dry rub. My son loves their suicide super hot wings. He says they’ve got great flavor even with the heat. Onion rings and fried pickles are fantastic! 4 of us ate here to the FULL-drinks included for $101.00

Great joint to enjoy a chill lunch. The wings are well seasoned and juicy. My son had their Jumbo burger and fries while I sucked down 10 of the Hot Honey wings, and 5 of the traditional hot wings. We tried the Parmesan fried cheese curds, which were insanely tasty. Lots of TV’s and all the sports you can stand. Price is a bit steep, but nonetheless the food made it worth it. If you like chicken, this is your place.

The food was delicious and we will be definitely coming back. I didn’t give a 5 just because our waitress was terrible. We ordered appetizers and we never received them, we only saw her once after the food was given to us and then when she gave us our check. She offered to go drinks and then brought us a empty cup for us to pour what we had in our in tiny cup. So hopefully the next time we visit the service will be as good as the food.

I’ve been coming here for a number of years, so I don’t know why I’m just now getting around to writing a review. To put it simply: I will intentionally go out of my way to get lunch here if I’m in the vicinity of Joplin.
The food has always been amazing, and there is nothing “bad” on the menu. The folks that work here are always friendly and accommodating as well. If you’re passing through, it’s worth it to take a trip up to Hackett’s for lunch or dinner (or even a drink or two at their sports bar!)
This is easily my most favorite restaurant in the area!
