We were very lucky to get a table here without a reservation but would recommend others to have one as the place was full. Great traditional German classics and really tasty beer too. Staff were brilliant and even were kind enough to translate the menu for us as it was a little difficult to read the handwriting. Would highly recommend.

The food was outstanding, easily the most delicious we had in Berlin. The duck and the schnitzel we ordered were both phenomenal—perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and beautifully presented.

The atmosphere was exactly what we wanted, not too loud or busy but just enough. A dish each plus a drink or two each and a shared dessert due to the ample portion sizes came to just under 60 Euros. Would 10/10 recommend!

Oh my god the food is fantastic. We had venison, sausages, schnitzel and a new dish which was veal liver. The venison and liver dishes were unreal. Absolutely fantastic food and then strudel for pudding.
The staff were so very friendly. I am so sorry I left going here until our the last night in Berlin. The next time I am in Berlin I will definitely come back for more fabulous food and great company.
I can’t recommend Hackethal’s enough. It was the best meal we had in Berlin over the five days of our visit.

What a find! This little restaurant is tucked away round a corner of a residential street. The staff are so lovely and so good at their jobs!
The food was divine – I just asked for what I wanted and was told how that would be served and the price.
They spoke perfect English and were happy to do so as well, which made things much easier.

First, when I got there, I was lucky enough to find a parking place. Parking is very convenient, there are parking infront of the restaurant, or on the left or right.
The place is decorated a lot! It looks like a pub! Very interesting! You can seat down inside or outside, I chose outside.
As soon as you sat down staff came very quick, with a big smile. Which made the service so much better. Staff made sure everything is alright.
I ordered my food with my family, three delicious meals! Unfortunately, I forgot the names of the food! Very quick food service, and delicious.

The German food here was probably one of the best meals we’ve had during our trip! The potato mash and sauerkraut were really good even by themselves
Also, they have a house beer that was honestly one of the most delicious Ive tasted – dark, slightly sweet and very smooth, nearly downed the pint at a go
