Right away from the get-go. I knew this was going to be an excellent experience because the parking lot was getting crowded quickly upon opening at 11:00. It’s not always the most reliable way to find out if a place would be good, but it does give you a hint that whatever is going on inside it’s somewhat of a good thing and at least it’s not killing anybody. Now as I made my way in I love the classic Mexican but high-end decor. They did not go easy on spending what’s necessary to make a restaurant stand out. I’ve seen places where the food is okay, but the fact that they spend the time and energy in properly decorating and giving A visitor a good reception that in itself makes the experience a hundred times better from the get-go. We always remember First impressions and so the impression I’m getting is at this place is really good. I was quickly given a choice to sit at a table or in a booth which to me didn’t matter, but something that caught my attention again in a good way was the fact that I didn’t even have to ask. The guy that brought the chips and salsa saw me and said hey. Would you mind if I bring you a hot sauce, a hotter sauce and I said heck yeah!
Then seconds later the waiter showed up and welcomed me with the smile and offered me a drink. He wasted no time in letting me know that they had some specials. What impressed me about this was that I’m a guy with construction clothes and just one person and yet this guy did not care about that. He just wanted to offer a good service.
So I started looking through the menu. The menu was okay I guess. A little bit crowded but not as bad as I’ve seen others. Easy to read and easy to find good options. I went for the hacienda Vieja steak and while I placed the order I made a quick trip to go wash my hands and just check the entirety of the environment or I should say atmosphere of the restaurant along with the cleaning is the bathrooms were exceptionally clean and smelled good. After I was done with that, I went back to my table and just enjoy the spicy Smokey salsa with the chips. I saved some of the salsa for the steak that I was about to eat because I knew that he would be good with that Ribeye.
It took about 5 minutes which I enjoyed. Just looking around taking a couple of pictures and then simply enjoying my cold water with lemon and then here it came in a sizzling hot plate. My ribeye top with vegetables as if crowning a king the king of steaks. I asked for a medium cook. I think for the most part it was a medium cook but it was perfectly seasoned and soft that I thoroughly enjoyed. It didn’t really care much about the beans and rice. I think the ribeye speaks for himself Great flavors.
Here are some small recommendations for this particular. Dish since these appear to be your most expensive dishes in the steak area I highly recommend that you accompany them with handmade corn tortillas. I think that would make this dish top notch and more of an experience the little tortillas I had with it were too, small and honestly. I feel bad for the steak putting them in such a small thin tortilla. I will say I’m glad you did not serve them with flour tortillas that would have been a disgrace to this steak. Overall I really appreciate it the experience and the beautiful decor in the restaurant okay hopefully in the near future and another of my visits. I can taste a little bit more of your menu.
