Excellent First Experience at The Habit Burger & Grill. Answers the question: can truly excellent meals be found at a Drive Thru. YES!
We use Quick Quack Car Wash weekly and The Habit Burger & Grill is next to it in the parking lot. We’ve heard good things about it and decided to give it a try by driving thru for Takeout on our way home.
My wife ordered Santa Barbara Char Burger and the Miso Crunch Salad with Miso Ginger Dressing.
I ordered the Ahi Sandwich and the Santa Barbara Cobb Salad with House Made Ranch Dressing.
The burger and sandwich were delicious and well made. My wife used the description “Six Napkin Burger” because it was a bit messy. A burger/sandwich that savory and packed with prime ingredients is bound to be a bit messy. Trust me, you won’t notice until your hands are empty and you’re wondering where it all went, because you just SNARFED it down. So Good!
The salads are large and stuffed with flavorful, fresh, crisp ingredients. The House Made Ranch Dressing provides a light enhancement to the Santa Barbara Cobb Salad. The combination of the dressing, charred chicken, fresh crisp greens, and firm mini Roma tomatoes makes for a salad that you would expect to find in a much more expensive restaurant that sneers at drive thru dining.

I can’t say enough good things about the team! Jose, in particular, is incredibly patient when taking our order, and that makes such a difference. We always look forward to visiting this location because of the warm and welcoming atmosphere they create. It really feels like a special place every time we go!

They didn’t use to charge for extra dressing. It’s too pricey for the quality of food. My salad was slimy. I can go to other sit down restraunts with better food for less.

I’m sad that this location hasn’t lived up to its expectations. I was hoping for something good on the south side of MV but this new location has fallen short with multiple visits. We first went around the few days of its opening and they were scrambling to get a flow going with many frustrated customers around the counter area. It’s understandable that they are working out the issues and tweaking their process but it was clear they did not have procedures intact. No assurance or acknowledgement to customers or complaints and very long wait times (not to mention it was freezing inside and we like the cold, it was just so cold it was uncomfortable). The second time I returned, a simple burger was ordered through the drive thru. The very first bite I had a very hard plastic in my food. I turned on the light in my car and it almost appeared to be melted plastic, possibly from the burger package. It was strong enough, that if someone were to swallow, it would definitely cut the throat. The food was over seasoned and just generally disappointing. I truly hope they take the online criticism as a means for improvement because I’d like this location to succeed…

I can’t believe they actually served this garbage. Burnt fries and smashed burger?! Bleh!! Regular and sweet potatoes fries all charred to a crisp. We did NOT ask for burnt/well done fries, apparently this is ‘regular.’ Soggy burger .. way at the bottom of the bag.. gross. No wonder the reviews for this location are low. Definitely NOT meeting Habit standards like the other locations. Too bad bc they just opened. Do better Habit.

This is the second time I’ve come here and they completely gave me the wrong order. I heard the young man say garden salad and I corrected him and said no I ordered chicken ceaser and he said oh yeah … then proceeded to give me the wrong salad with no sauce when I asked for extra ceasar. $30 down the drain and I hadn’t eaten all day because I am social worker in the field. They won’t get my business again!
