The food is quite good.
Char-grilled burgers are the speciality, and side dishes have lots of variety. (Think tempura green beans, roasted cauliflower, sweet potato fries).
For a lighter option, try a big salad or the chicken sandwiches.
Various soft drinks are available, as well as lemonade and milkshakes.
Atmosphere got a 4/5 only because it’s a fast food place, so atmosphere isn’t really expected. However, it’s is clean and plenty of seating is available.

I’m like a food critic without the license, and I came from Alaska/Bakersfield, so I came to this place after doing my 12 hour Uber Ride, lol. I’ve never heard of this place but heard a lot about it, I was also recommended to eat here and I haven’t eaten yet all day today, lol. I have massive high-quality taste buds for food and more on the menu to try out soon, Lord Willing. I randomly selected the Santa Barbara Charburger with a side of Tempura Green Beans on the side . Overall, wonderful clean place, and the customer service in the front. Forgive me for forgetting your name, but you know who you are, and you looked like the manager or supervisor. He was very well mannered and helpful throughout my time checking everything on the menu and he shown a lot of patience on allowing me to take my time to figure out what I wanted to order on the menu and helped me a lot on my order selections and I came a driving doing my Uber rides all the way from Bakersfield so I’m new here, I was there at about 5PM ish, everything tasted fresh and was very fulfilling with massive portions of the items I ordered that was nice and Hot and super tasty and flavorful and really nice light crunch testure, and great price overall. Thanking the people who helped me with my First Time Experience here. They also have condiments to get or ask for inside. I highly recommend them for when you’re hungry or if you’re in a hurry on your lunch break from work or family gatherings. I always felt like the habit wasn’t elevated burger . Really disappointing experience. I waited over 20 minutes for my food, while the staff was apologetic, my food was sitting on the counter for 15 of those 20 minutes. I got my food and it was cold. Honestly, this meal is super expensive and not worth the wait or the trouble. Just go to In-N-Out. It’s right there and tested true.

Big fan of “The Habit.”
Positive: Burgers are decent and presentable. Fries have a nice seasoning but a tad salty for my taste (and I like salty things), have fresh juices if you don’t want soda but a bit sweet.
Negatives: they completely forgot the BBQ on my BBQ burger lol. Fries were old (I get it, they sometimes need to sandbag on busy nights), had two burnt fries in the mix. Don’t really care but quality and details matter. But pricey but the price needs to reflect to quality and presentation.
Would I try again? Definitely, just about twice a week maybe.

In drive through for 1/2 hour before my order was taken. 4 cars ahead of me got my order nuts in my chocolate shake. Not a problem for me but they were mixed in not on top. Somebody with a nut allergy could have died I’m in the service industry as management this is so bad thanks for the extra burger hidden under my onion rings won’t be back

9 employees working – 8 WOMEN and they were terrific. Store was clean and food was tasty with easy on-screen or in-person ordering. Very customizable. We had the original charburger #1 and a Santa Barbara Char (no cheese) with a tempura green bean side. The burger actually had a tinge of pink – hooray for not over-cooking! Terrific grilled onions. The fries were still not crispy altho we specified “easy” added crispness. Next time we’ll go for “extra” extra crispy. The beans are a winner and 250 calories instead of 440 for the fries. The iced tea was bit weak, but decent flavor. Free water cup. In general, a good introduction and we’ll be back to test the rest of the menu. $26.

The sandwiches and salads are excellent. It is a great, great drive-up restaurant. The only downside /upside is that your food is prepared after you order it. Some meals take a bit of time to prepare. All in all I recommend it highly.

Upon collecting my order, I expressed gratitude to the staff member, but unfortunately, did not receive a response. I wonder if the same courtesy would have been extended if I were a white woman. Does my dark skin tone imply that politeness is not necessary? If so, what is the significance of offering a complimentary burger on a customer’s birthday?
