It took me at least 1.5 hours to travel from my workplace to Gyro World restaurant, and it was worth the trip. When I arrived, it was empty and very spacious, with plenty of seating. I showed my Yelp pass to a staff member, who asked me to sit anywhere. They brought the gyro to my table after I sat for about 15 minutes. I was shocked by the generous portion size; it was very filling and delicious. I’m very happy to have been invited to this Yelp gyro event. This is a great spot for gyro if you’re around that area.

Loved this spot! The food here was flavorful and amazing. Sat outdoors on a sunny day and they have plenty of seating covered in shade. Portions were large and filling. The lunchbox was good, I had the beef and lamb gyro and it was tender and flavorful. Salad was also good and loved the dolma.

Neighborhood gem and great value for the family. Gyros are the favorite as well as the piping hot fries. I’m a fan of the bifteki, haloumi, white bean soup and the new spicy chicken gyro stuffed with fries. It’s a big hand held sandwich! If there’s room for dessert, try the Orange cake!

We always get “The GW Plate”!!! And it never disappoints. Enough food for 4, maybe 5, depending on the appetites. It used to be about $40 something now it’s a lil over $50, but sooooo worth it.
The tzatziki sauce is one of the best I’ve had, I would eat it for breakfast, no shame!!! But in my opinion, the pork gyro and pork souvlaki are the best!!

I had a fantastic experience at Gyro World! The food was fresh, flavorful, and served quickly, but what really made my visit special was the amazing service. Our waitress, Annalisa, was incredibly kind, cheerful, and attentive throughout the meal. She made the entire dining experience enjoyable with her positive energy and genuine smile. I’ll definitely be coming back again soon, highly recommend Gyro World for both the great food and the wonderful service!

A great place to stop in and get a gyro. Almost right off the highway, we stop when passing by that area. The gyros are solid. Flavorful and the staff are accommodating of special requests like sauce on the side, no onions, etc. I also like the Greek salad with chicken souvlaki, the fries, and the haloumi appetizer. The food comes quick and tastes fresh. You order at the counter and seat yourself.

Gyro person here….yeah I love Gyros….like one of my favorite things and I landed here and the Gyros here are amazing. Gyro and fries are like meant to be.

Gyro World in Flushing has delicious Authentic Greek Food. The Pita Bread is soft yet every bite has a crunch to it. Tzatziki sauce is perfect blend with lemon, dill, garlic and yogurt Chicken perfectly sliced with potato wedges nice tasty. with a Greek Salad on the side with dolmades tomatoes, onions green pepper feta cheese in a box freshly packed. I ordered through app. I ordered Chicken Gyro with Pita bread with salad on side Tzatziki sauce, vinaigrette and olive oil perfectly textured with every bite.

Their Gyro World plate at $40 is such a good value, which has all the best grilled meats. We always get their lemon potatoes too. Their pita bread is always nicely grilled and goes well with their yogurt sauce.

ordered for pick up. got a greek salad with beef/ lamb gyro meat and i don’t even know what was put on the top. also got a lunch box with beef/lamb gyro meat and it was a completely different meat. dry, flavorless, absolutely not worth the money. will not be returning. way better options in the area
