While traveling Route 66, this location was referred to us at one of the visitor centers. It is kinda tucked away in a unusual space behind a arcade. We were first seated outside, but quickly chose to go inside due to a couple of loud and obnoxious young men with some very foul language! We chose the outside because the dining area is upstairs and my wife doesn’t do well with stairs. Seeing that it was a nice evening, we would have much more preferred the outside dining… When we mentioned it to the server, she just commented “Yea, they have been here for a while”.

Very interesting place tucked away behind an arcade. Food was outstanding and service was excellent. Chairs not super comfortable, but ok. Worth the trip. Prime rib was HUGE!

It’s more of a fast food restaurant that’s very expensive. Not really Italian food but more of country fried Italian. We ordered meat and cheese ravioli and it came out like chicken fried chicken. Great atmosphere, thought.

Truly a great experience overall. Generous portions, excellent quality and perfectly prepared appetizers, sides and entrees. Everyone was friendly and made us feel welcome. The cooks even said hello when we walked in. Want to thank Bekah for taking great care of us from the moment we sat down. She answered all our questions and never missed a beat. Recommend Fri or Sat prime rib or anything with meatballs. They don’t sell alcohol of any kind but you can bring your own or grab something at the bar next door. They also don’t offer dessert but there is an ice cream shop a few stores down. Parking is on the street or in the lot around back.

Excellent older restaurant. I can totally understand why they have been in business for 70 years. Atmosphere is pretty cool. We had a pizza. It was very good. We’ll be heading back for other items.

You definitely won’t be disappointed if you eat here. Great selection on their menu includes Italian fare, seafood, steaks and desserts. Our waitress was amazing attended to our every need, and the food was out of this world. The portions are ginormous, so be prepared to take some home unless you are a chow hound.

By far the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to. The food tasted fresh and homemade as if we got invited to Sunday dinner at Grandma’s house! The spaghetti was amazingly delicious! I got the villa and it was great and our son got a pizza which was just as good. The fried ravioli with marinara oh my goodness! Our waitress was amazing! Everything about this place was wonderful. I travel for work and so far the best place I have tried in Illinois even better than the famous Italian place we went to in Chicago. Definitely a diamond in the rough.

Let me start by saying, Our family moved here not long ago. That being said, I’m sure we missed out in this restaurant’s historical, meaningful place in this beautiful community. I’m sorry if this hurts those who have fond memories of this place. I can only speak of our first (last and only) time dining here.

Family owned Italian restaurant. Get the onion soup. Pasta, Steaks to schnitzel is all great. The service is the best. It is up a flight of stairs, not sure if there is an elevator. It is a BYOB restaurant. There is a bar next door that you can hit first for wine , mixers or a ton of craft beer to take with you. It is my favorite place to go.

Food was very good, portion sizes were huge, great value for the money. Michelle our waitress was excellent and made the entire dinning experience great. She gave excellent food recommendations and was very prompt. Can’t wait to go back and try other dishes. The restaurant is a little hard to find. If you come down the street you have to walk through the arcade between the buildings and take a right, then you will find it.
