The owner Tracy is welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in. In his own words “Strip Mall Hole in the Wall”. The service is friendly and attentive. Even though it’s technically located in a strip mall, the atmosphere is romantic, the service was outstanding, and the food did not disappoint.
In my experience, the food was amazing and the portions were huge. Whether it’s pasta, seafood, or something else, it’s clear that they put a lot of care into each dish.

HUGE Bowl of French onion soup was excellent. Waitress “T” was excellent!! Great engaging communication skills. Service impeccable…..scallops were very good except I’m surprised the cook would have the audacity to hand over scallops who’s cracker crumbs must have literally caught fire in the oven given the total jet black charred appearance of the crumbs! I just scraped all the crumbs off because we were pressed for time that night. The guriere scallops were good minus the crumbs.

The owner of this restaurant is the rudest owner of a restaurant I have encountered in 50+ years of dining out. First of all I have been dining at this restaurant for at least 20 years and through multiple owners. They have a rewards program and I forgot my rewards card last time I ate there. They told me no problem next time I came in they would add my points if I had my card. Fast forward to today. When I finished eating I told the waitress the story and she left with my previous sales slip and card. When she returned she said the owner would not honor the points because it had been more than 30 days( I was never told there was a time limit). I told her this was a pretty scrappy program and to tell the owner. The owner came up to me w an attitude and asks if there was a problem. I said yes and that I probably never be eating there again. He said fine and grabbed my card card(without permission) off the bar and stormed off. I have seen this man belittle his employees in front of customers many times so his behavior didn’t surprise me. Never will I eat here again.

Located in the parking lot near a strip mall. Very homey and delicious smelling. Has a bar for drinks and plenty of parking. We ordered the mussels, a stuffed portabello mushroom and open face meatball sub for lunch – everything is made to order and worth the wait. I wish I had more of an appetite- cause I would have tried the bruichetti (sp) and the wings. We were there at the end of their lunch time so the menu was limited but had something for everyone.
Ok, the mussels were AMAZING- OMG, the bread crumbs on top were a wonderful surprise- butter and garlic – yum. The stuffed mushroom was not only beautiful but great tasting – lots of melted cheese with a very good balsamic reduction. I ate every bit and almost ordered a second. The meatball sandwich came with a heaping amount of fresh cut – crispy fries and 4 large meatballs. BTW, one meatball jumped off my hubby’s plate and into my mouth – really good. If you are in the area stop by for an amazing meal. I wish I could give them 10 stars. Please remember to visit small local businesses so they can stay open and please tip generously.

I dine out often, both personally and professionally. I know and like good food, but can eat a meal for substance alone when need be and am able to set my expectations accordingly to be fair. We keep periodically giving this restaurant a try because of friends that either like a dish (usually a salad) and want to have it or more often have been given a gift card they need to use. The cocktails are usually very good. Regarding the food, it is typically hit or miss. Occasionally someone in our party will have a dish they enjoy. It is never the whole table and I have never had the pleasure of being one of the impressed diners in our group. The food is not the worse but it is also not the best and typically not at a level to justify the higher pricing per plate. Tonight’s choice was Chicken Marsala at a fair price and it was among the worst I’ve had. Your safest choice here is usually a salad. Regarding the atmosphere, the restaurant is very dark in the initial areas inside the front door and adequately lit in the furthest area from the front door. The table lights are very nice. The wall decor is a little bizarre in that it incorporated ventilation grates paired up with fake flowers to create decor. The service is consistent with an average family style restaurant. Nobody has any real hospitality training. It took 3 asks to receive lemon for the water. 2 asks to receive another napkin before I simple took a setting off another set table and finding someone to refill water glasses was a struggle the entire meal. They came by to ask about cocktails but forgot to come back with water. The bathrooms are kept very clean. You can spend $30-$50 per person focused on cocktails and salads or $50-$100 per person, focused on cocktails and entrees. You’ll likely be most satisfied staying among the selections that keep you in the $30-50 range. I hope this helps but encourage folks to form their own opinions.

The food was absolutely delicious and our server, Shannon, was an absolute dream… SO personable, SO attentive… ask for Shannon!!
Group of 4, we had the stuffed shrimp, swiss/mushroom burger, teriyaki chicken sandwich & the “blackened blue” burger. The cook on our burgers was spot on, every sauce that hit our table was homemade and delectable… I’m telling you, the food was delish!
This restaurant was FANTASTIC & would have gotten 5 stars except it needs a serious decor update.
We’ll be coming back before we leave!

Great staff and great food! This place does not look like much from the outside and honestly the inside could use updating, but that aside the place is wonderful. The staff are pleasant and on top of their game. Drinks are well made. Bathrooms are clean. Food came out at a good pace. Would recommend highly!

We came here with a group of 10 and had an incredible dinner! The staff handled our large party with ease, and the service was attentive without ever feeling rushed. Every dish was excellent, but the standout was definitely the lobster carbonara—absolutely to die for! Perfectly balanced flavors, fresh lobster, and such a creative take on a classic. Everyone at the table left impressed and happy. Highly recommend Guytanno’s for a special night out in Westerly!
