We enjoyed eating at the Guy’s Burger Joint aboard the Carnival Liberty Cruise Ship. The atmosphere is similar to the old fashioned burger joints. They offer almost any combination of burger fixings you may want with cheese, bacon and lots more available.

This is the first time I’ve had an issue here. I’m a type 1 diabetic and simply asked to swap the fries for a salad (just a bit of lettuce and tomato). Surprisingly, they refused to accommodate this very basic dietary need. I wasn’t asking for anything special or extra, just a simple substitution. Disappointing experience, especially for customers with medical dietary requirements.

Returning home and stopped in for lunch. We were short on time and the staff was eager to accommodate us with our order. In no time our order was at the table and we were able to pay and eat before leaving to our gate. The chicken buffalo blue cheese sandwich was amazing. The staff were working so hard. If we ever return to the Merida airport we will eat here again.

Awful service. There’s no team mentality here. If it’s not your server they’ll straight up ignore you. Had to ask 4 people for a water, which took 10 minutes to arrive. I’ve got more to say but will stop there. The crappy service ruined the whole experience.

On my way out of Merida i wanted to get lunch and was surprised to see Guy F had a restaurant in the airport . Now I had never dined at one of his places before. I sat down and was promptly greeted. I ordered a chicken sandwich and it was so good. Fries were nice and crispy . The food wasn’t extremely hot, but the flavors made up for the temperature. There was one woman, one woman taking care of everyone ! There were a-lot of people and she moved so swift and fast . Make sure to tip her well, because she works extremely hard and diligently . I believe on the receipt it said her name was Lesly. Thanks so much for the amazing service .

I am plant based and they had a breakfast burrito on the menu that I asked them to if they could put the veggie patty inside and not put in eggs and bacon. They literally they have all the ingredients available, but they wouldn’t omit the meat and dairy and replace with a veggie patty for me. So I ordered tator tots (is what they call a hash brown, which are in the breakfast burrito.) it was really disappointing to have tator tots when the tots, avocado, a veggie patty, grilled onion and peppers, and pick de gallo were all literally available (and included minus the veggie patty which they could have added) were all available in the breakfast burrito. I know plant based people are a small population, but it’s not hard to make something with an easy swap out / omission.

I got a bacon cheeseburger and onion rings and my wife got the cheesesteak from Guy’s Sandwich Joint. The only positive about this visit is the ‘Ranch’ garlicky dip from the onion rings, everything else was underwhelming and bland. I wouldn’t be exaggerating if I was to say the blandest burger I have ever eaten. I found no flavor in flavortown. Disappointed about our choice to try it on our way home at the end of our trip.

Veggie burger at this restaurant is yummy! Made of black beans, served with tomato lettuce and onions. It’s bit on the spicy side so if you can’t handle spice, pass it. It’s served with fries that are good too!

Shouldn’t let people use vapes in the restaurant. It smelled like smoke. The server was nice, smiled and made God eye contact in spite of the language barrier.
