I has such a wonderful experience at Gus’ Sip & Dip! From the moment we walked in the atmosphere felt warm, cozy and inviting. It’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy quality food and drinks. We started with the crab dip, which was incredible Rich, creamy, and full of flavor — easily one of the best I had. The artichoke fritters were Crispy on the outside and tender on the outside, perfectly seasoned and absolutely addictive. Pizza excellent. The warm olives were a simple but delicious touch, adding a savory balance to the table. The jumbo shrimp cocktail was fresh, chilled perfectly and beautifully presented. To top it at all , the Irish coffee was smooth, perfectly blended, and the ideal finish to the meal. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. You can really tell they care about both the food and the costumer experience. I will definitely be coming back and recommendig this place to Friends!

We came by for happy hour and stayed for the great cozy vibes at gus’ sip & dip. The dirty martini drinks at happy hour was a great deal and a strong drink. Don’t sleep on their other drinks either we loved both the grasshopper (showstopper, dessert like) and brown derby (smoky and citrus). Cheese curds were good too. There’s always a line but it does move quickly.

Sarah is awesome despite the fact that she was distracting me with her beautiful eyes the food came out on point. She was very descriptive on the menu. This was my first time here and prior to me sitting at the table in her amazing service. Cameron was able to help me at the bar from beginning to end with four different cocktails, plus the happy hour special none of which disappointed although in different categories, I was able to have a wide variety of different features from this amazing place.
Be sure to try the ice cold shrimp cocktail or chilled seafood, ceviche, and the roasted turkey. The Wagyu beef dip was my favorite per Sarah’s suggestion

Took the time on our most recent Chicago trip to go to Gus’. We got there right when they opened, and just watched the place fill up without ever being too loud. The vibes were exceptional, and please take time to visit the bathrooms for a true trip back in time. Service staff is incredibly accommodating and very mindful of allergies. They provided egg free dips and sauces for my wife and still included specialty food picks to prevent cross contamination. We started with the artichoke fritters, truffle cheese fries, and shrimp cocktail- all were incredible and a great start to the meal. My wife and I split the wagyu beef dip and the turkey dip, each were insanely good. Cocktails were all delightful, and having such a wide variety but still nailing each and every drink is nothing short of impressive. Can’t wait to come back.

This place has $12 cocktails which is an amazing price for a bar in River North!! I came with 2 friends for happy hour which is from 4-5pm and they have a day of the drink for $6. It was super tasty and my friends got cosmos and were big fans! The place filled up super quick on a Thursday evening and the vibe inside is super fun. The waitress was nice but some of the other staff seemed to dismiss us when we asked questions.

We stopped by on whim, and it turned out to be such a perfect experience – the music, the drinks, and the atmosphere were all on point. And the drinks are $12 – YES, $12!!!!!! Such a steal ✨ Highly recommend!
Surprises are always awesome, so I asked our wonderful bartender, Clinton, to surprise me with a drink – and woah, the Hawaii-style Mai Tai with vodka he made was so unreal BRAVO!!

We loved every aspect of our visit! Our party of four tried 10 different cocktails and enjoyed every one! We also shared the cheese curds and the Wagyu dip, Croque Madame and Proper Burger, which the kitchen was kind enough to cut into four for sharing, and all the food was wonderful! Service was prompt and very friendly! We didn’t have to wait as we went during an extreme cold snap, but it would be worth the wait if we had.

Gus’ Sip and Dip never disappoints! The cocktails are always very well crafted and delicious. They are appropriately strong but not overpowering. We tried the spinach and artichoke dip and it was pretty tasty. My only complaint this time around is that they put us in the back corner facing a wall and the chairs were uncomfortable. They were busy so service was slower than normal but I would still give the experience overall 5 stars

Fantastic spot, the wagyu dip was incredible, tender, and packed with flavor. The fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned, and my old fashioned was smooth and well-balanced. Service was excellent, quick, attentive, and friendly and the whole place has a great energy with a cool vintage vibe.
There’s a bit of a line, but it moves fast, and it’s absolutely worth the wait. The cocktails, the food, the ambience and decor all on point. I’ll definitely be back.
