What a great place! Awesome atmosphere, staff is super friendly (one of the cooks came out have some lunch and he welcomed us as well) and the food was fantastic! I had a couple of coneys with cheese, onions, mustard and my wife had a Reuben. We shared some chili cheese fries. All were delicious. The decor is awesome with all kinds of DC and Marvel pictures, action figures, etc. Totally awesome. We’ll be back

This is the first time that we have eaten here since it was remodeled years ago. The decor inside is spruced up the comic memorabilia and drawings on the windows. We sat in the booth with Wonder Woman drawn on the window. The menu was your standard coney island fare. I ordered the fish and chips with a side salad, my wife got the gyro with a Greek side salad and my daughter got the Big Breakfast.
Well our salads came out and we started to eat. The first thing that I noticed was that the lettuce in my salad was watery. I tipped my salad bowl and got a puddle of water on my plate. I eventually gave up on my salad. My wife liked her salad though. Our meals came out just a few minutes after our salads. My daughter really liked her Big Breakfast and scarfed it right down. My wife said the gyro was what she expected and she really liked their fries. Her food came out on a broken plate though. My fish also tasted good. That was until I had my last bite and found a hair. I took the hair up to the cashier to let them know what happened. She asked me if I wanted a new plate of fish and chips but I declined. I had already eaten all of the fish. What was nice was that she marked down my bill when I went to go pay. The staff was nice at least but I don’t know if I would go back. The prices were reasonable but you do get what you pay for in the end.

Orderd two greek salads and we thoroughly enjoyed them. Vegetables were crisp, pita bread was fresh and hot. Vinegar based dressing was excellent. Thankx Gus

Everyone here is always really nice and friendly, the interior is real cozy, and the food’s been super. I usually pick up a chicken club sandwich and it’s amazing and flavorful every time!! Highly recommend this place! Adding a photo of this incredible sandwich.

I purchased 4 coney dogs one small chilli fries came up to $ 22 and chage. The buns were hard as a brick the hot dog was over cook or just old setting on the grill ? I don’t know just horrible…. this was my first time here and last . I gave my hot dog to my dog and even she had a hard time eating it. When a person orders food over the phone , they should freshly make it not give you something that has been sitting over.

If you love good comfort/diner food, family-friendly customer service and Superheroes, then you need to come to Gus’. The superhero-related artwork and displays caught my eye, but I really didn’t want to leave once I sat down.
The wait staff is friendly and kind and they really took care of their customers. Many of them being regulars.
