My favorite sushi restaurant in Irvine. The rolls are great and all the dishes are excellent. I especially recommend the Korean-style sashimi rice bowl and the Yose Nabe — both are must-try items.

Gurume has become a place we go to at least once a week, especially for lunch. Their lunch specials are a great deal, and most importantly, their food is very good. High quality at a great price. They are very accommodating for my son’s diet. Staff and service are always wonderful.

We went to Gurume Sushi for Valentine’s dinner and were pleasantly surprised! The restaurant is very nice, clean and modern and quite big. I didn’t expect such a nice restaurant in the corner of a shopping center! The service is excellent and the food very fresh and delicious. The prices are reasonable too. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We tried $100 Omakase. We really enjoyed the chef’s interpretation. I recommend eating them as they are served to you (minimize additional wasabi & soy sauce). Photos show how each dish is served. I skipped the photo of dessert for your own surprise

I had the 100 dollar Omakase and had a really mixed experience. I do not think Uni and Caviar should go with every dish and it makes every dish taste the same. The cutting of the sushi also left a lot to be desired. While the fish quality was generally good, I’d rather pay less and just have a regular sashimi without all the extra.

This is our new favorite sushi spot in Irvine. The bento boxes are great and sushi quality is very high. Highly recommend the gurume fresh roll.

This place is amazing. I was looking for a special Japanese restaurant to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and wow this was it! The food was high quality and still within an affordable range. My husband got the sushi omakase for $50, and he was very happy with the selections. The cuts were thick and juicy. I ordered the pork belly bento (about $30); when my food arrived, I didn’t expect it to come with all of the delicious side dishes in tiny bowls, like a traditional Japanese meal. Everything was delicious, service was on point, and I would definitely come back for special occasions.

Nice ambience! Korean styled Japanese restaurant. We ordered Korean-styled sashimi salad with spicy sauce. It was okay, didn’t like shredded cabbage in this, not much sashimi (ok quality). The sauce was good. The fried calamari and pancakes were pretty good
