We went on a Tuesday night around 6 and it wasn’t crowded.
Restaurant was clean and staff were polite.
Well…Mumbai has met it’s match, food-wise, with Gurkhas Kitchen.
Everything my wife and I have tasted there we have thoroughly enjoyed…The spices are delightful…Chicken, lamb, vegetables are all cooked to tender perfection.
Chicken Tikka Masala…lovely!
Butter Chicken…sublime…
Lamb curry..to die for…
If you’ve never tried Indian, or Nepalese food, give it a try…You’ll be back!!
If you’re looking for a delightful restaurant with a great buffet, go to Gurkhas!!!
The building itself is a basic, unassuming place in a strip mall and the inside is tight and relatively small, but very clean and tidy.
The people who were working and serving (I believe they’re the owners) were very friendly and were constantly cleaning and checking in on us.
But the thing that really surprised us was the food. Neither my wife nor myself are the biggest Indian food fans, normally, but sometimes we feel like trying something different. In this case, I can honestly say that there was not a single food in the buffet that we didn’t like. We enjoyed some more than others, of course, but all were very good…and that’s something I’ve never been able to say about ANY buffet before, Indian or other!
We will definitely be back!
We ordered their thali, and it was an absolute treat! The vegetable korma was creamy and perfectly spiced, the dal makhani was rich and flavorful, and the samosa was crispy on the outside with a deliciously seasoned filling. On top of that, the thali came with chai, which was warm, aromatic, and the perfect finish to the meal.
We also tried their vegetarian momo, and it was simply amazing—soft, well-steamed dumplings packed with flavor. What stood out the most was how every dish had its own distinct taste, a testament to the care and authenticity in their cooking.
Nepal Indian Restaurant truly captures the essence of home-cooked food. It’s a gem for anyone craving authentic Indian and Nepalese flavors. Highly recommended!
We wanted to try Indian food and we left there happy!
Lunch buffet was perfect for us. We got to try a little bit of everything.
Everything was so tasty. Naan was baked fresh and so good!!!
Service was wonderful.
Highly recommended.
If I could make suggestions, update the bathroom 🙂
Experience #2: I ordered take out. The food was delicious. Everything was carefully packaged and delicious. The sauce that came with the Samosas is amazing.
Experience #3: We can’t get enough. My daughter and I went again for the lunch buffet. The place was busy, but everything was just as good if not better than the first time we went. The service was fantastic. I found the spicy sauce that came with my take out. They have it in mild, medium and hot. Try it. It is unlike anything that I’ve ever had.
My daughter wanted to gate keep this place and keep it a secret, but I’m happy to shout from the rooftops about how amazing this restaurant is. It warmed my heart to see it busy.
