I’m stuck on what to say because all I can keep thinking is “Wow! These folks are doing things right.”
Brisket taco had a nice smokiness with a subtle vinegar flavor.
Carnitas taco had a lovely flavor profile especially highlighted by the char.
Elote roasted perfectly, not too much cheese, perfect amount of lime juice
Coleslaw was one of my favorites! I’m still trying to figure out their ingredients because there’s one flavor that was a main character but so well balanced. It was just different enough to elevate this side dish.
Baked Potato Salad – basically a baked potato as a small side dish. Personally too heavy on the dairy aspects and not enough green onions or chives. But I’m also not a huge baked potato fan in general so ignore me on this one.
Cucumber jalapeno margarita – finally found a place that does margaritas the right way! I’ve tried so many around Bellingham that fall flat. I would happily order a pitcher of this cocktail if I could.
Classic Margarita – would say the same as above. Very well balanced.
10/10 would recommend and come again.
Also, shout out to the one and only front house employee busting her ass today. You did so well!

From friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere to delicious food Gunners is certainly a hidden gem of the American Northwest. The meat is fresh, tender, juicy and full of flavor, the sides are to die for and you better hope you have some room for dessert afterwards otherwise you’re missing out. On top of that the view from outside is nothing short of picturesque. If you’re driving up to or down from Mt Baker stopping by gunners is a must as you’ll absolutely leave full and happy.

I love burnt ends and I love tacos and this place has both separately and in combination. Also, it has psychedelic mountain art on the walls and pie.
The brisket and carnitas tacos were delicious and filling. The elote was good and the onion rings were probably the best I’ve had. Their coleslaw was good and the aftertaste weirdly reminds me of green apples.

This food was surprisingly good! The perfect balance of tex-mex. The elote was incredible and the carnitas tacos were great and plenty of GF options! The place was packed and seemingly there was only one server but she managed just fine! This isn’t your normal mountain food- this place is worth a stop!
Also they are dog friendly in the side patio complete with water bowls!

We came here close to 1 pm on a long weekend Sunday, and the wait time to get seated and then waiting for food was kind of crazy long. But when the food arrived, everything felt completely worth it.
We ordered two meats and two sides, the meat was brisket with burnt end, and Chipotle chicken. The sides were mac and cheese and coleslaw. The ambience was amazing, you can see mountains peaks. Especially if you sit outside, it will feel magical.
The only thing they can improve, is their time management. We understand that on a busy afternoon the order might take a while, however keeping the customers informed would’ve been a good idea..

The smashburger was really good, especially with a little of their spicy bbq sauce. The beans weren’t my personal favorite and i probably would go with mac and cheese next time. The tacos looked really good.

They’ve recently reduced the size of the ribs. We used to received two very large ribs but now they are three very small port spare ribs that come with the meat plate deal. Not worth the price in my opinion.

Absolutely loved this BBQ spot! The tacos and brisket were packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. The cornbread was warm, buttery, and just the right amount of sweet. Don’t miss the blackberry margaritas – refreshing and delicious! Service was fast and friendly, making the whole experience even better. Can’t wait to come back!
