Beautiful space, with a lovely ambiance, it’s a pleasure to finally see an Indian restaurant that serves amazing food and has an awesome atmosphere. We LOVE IT.
The food was fantastic too.
We got the navratan korma and paneer tikka masala, bullet naan and mango lassi. Our server Surjit was very nice. Portion sizes are generous, we also enjoyed the music. If I was to be picky I’d say the only complaint I had was, the last time we visited, the kofta in malai kofta was not traditional but tasted more like manchurian balls, but that apart the food and service was great both times.

I feel let down tonight! ‍♀️I took my mom out for her birthday and this was some of the worst service I had ever experienced and I have to do a redo for her. I was shocked because Gulzar’s is one of my favorite spots but there was multiple things that went wrong tonight. 1.) When we got to the restaurant we were told it was a 15-20 min wait which was totally fine, however, that was it and the people upfront continued to go on about their business and I said don’t you want my number to alert me when there’s a table open or do you have buzzers? To just ignore us and it wasn’t overly busy is just bad. Then on top of that when I got the call that our table was ready there was another person that seated us and there was no follow through with having our seat ready and there was a table with two menus on it and I had to explain that that was for us and then the guy that called us signaled over to that the table 2.) I was set to order my meal and I was stuck between lamb saag and lamb Rogan Josh, when I was set to order my lamb saag the waiter said or you could get…a dish (something with chickpeas in it) which I thought was odd to try to get me to get that when I had already said what I wanted. I feel like they were trying to get rid of items they may have already made because I had also order paneer bhatura bread and the waiter kept trying to get me to order garlic naan. 3.) My mom ordered chicken Shahi Korma with a spice level of 7 and she got a dish that was not that. I know my Indian dishes and this was chicken curry with no heat whatsoever and it tasted diluted. This makes me wonder if they were getting rid of stuff because of what happened previously in point 2. Then the waiter didn’t come back to the table and I had to walk to the back and tell him about the wrong dish. This is a dangerous thing to do because what if someone was allergic to items and a certain dish (this could end badly). On top of that my mom’s dish was taken back, but when she got her “replacement” dish it seems as if took out some of the previous dish and mixed in the korma with it! Also the dish didn’t taste like how it usually taste and I could see the previous spices on the bowl. This again is concerning! 4.)The waiter never came to our table to ask how things were, if we needed more rice, or if we needed our water refilled. As you can see in my picture. 5.) We clearly finished our food and waited 27 mins for our bill to come until I decided to walk in the back and ask for my bill. When I did this someone else up front gave me the bill and it seemed as if he had an attitude and then never said have a good day or nothing. With all of this being said, I’m a person that frequently goes to this place, is it always perfect (no), but it’s usually solid for me, however, this service tonight was totally unacceptable. I also usually brag about this place and was going to take some co-workers here, but after this experience absolutely not and now im going to have to do a redo for my mom’s birthday to make it right to her.

It was my first time trying Indian food, and I went to Gulzar’s Indian Cuisine for their buffet. The food was really, really good — full of flavor and fresh. The woman who greeted me was so sweet and beautiful, which made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be back!

Outside of NYC, this is the hippest Indian restaurant I have experienced. I loved the modern and brightly colored decor as well as the cool and curent Indian tunes.
Everyone was super welcoming from the hosts to the bar staff, to our server.
I kicked off my experience with a delicious and well/balanced lychee martini.
As a table, my friend and I shared the most flavorful Garlic Naan, Mushroom Paneer and Chicken Tikka Masala. Everything was DELICIOUS!
I also loved the scene in downtown Dayton. We were able to catch the tail-end of the sunset that resulted in stunningly colorful skies.
The night was really perfect.
Cheers!

Great ambiance and VERY inviting and courteous staff. Cocktail drink (Made in India) was watered down. I ordered Chicken Saag (Chicken simmered in spinach) with roti. The overall taste and flavor was good. You can feel the flavors of spices, and yet it wasn’t overwhelming, which was good. However, the Chicken was just the cubed breast pieces, which were VERY dry rather than moist. It was comparative hard as one other reviewer have mentioned. No thigh pieces what so ever. It tasted like thawed dry chicken, no flavor other than the sauce/gravy it was in. Overall, 2-Star for food and 5-star for service and ambience. I will mostly like come again and try other chicken dish and goat sukka to see if this review have any meaning to the management.

Idk what type of yogurt sauce this is but for $50 you get almost nothing. Do not order delivery from here. Messy and tiny portions.

Note: I have only been here doing the buffet hours

Listen, I already love Indian food. But, this is topping charts I didn’t even know existed. Every item in this restaurant is delicious, from the curries to the ice cream. I would even dare to say that it is on par with my mom’s food (which means a lot, because we’re Arab.) Huge bonuses are that the items seem to rotate, and the incredible value for the amount of food you get.

So so so so so SO good, and I could keep raving about it until tomorrow. Afterwards too.

This is hands down the best Indian in the Dayton area! The people are wonderful and the service is amazing. I would have included photos of the food, but it was too good and so this is all that was left 🙂

Great food. Huge portions. I will be eating the leftovers for days. I got a 6 spicy level. It was a little too spicy for me but I’ll know how to order it next time. I usually do a 6 at thai 9 and it’s just right. But lots of food and we were very happy with it. Wait staff were very attentive and friendly. Cute restaurant and VERY clean from the dining area to the restrooms. Will definitely go back.

This was my first time eating here, I came after a review from someone on social media. The inside is gorgeous, I love the colors and decor. I got the lunch buffet $17.20 It was just okay, nothing stood out as delicious. The meat in the dishes was all hard and over cooked just swimming in sauce. The service was also just okay, noone came over to ask how the meal was or even refill my water. I used to love Amar India until their quality of taste dwindled. I was hoping this could be my new Indian food buffet on my days off, but no such luck. I won’t be back.
