Exquisite Texas-style smoked ribs, served with two sides and Texas toast. A cozy place with excellent service from the owners and Cajun music playing in the background. Absolutely recommended!!

If you want to visit a place that has been a staple in the alief community for a long time, come visit Ms. Robin and her husband at Guillorys. I forgot to take a photo of my food and it was gone by the time I thought of it. Service was fast ordering a pound of moist brisket and a chicken baked potato. My kids loved the baked potato, they even skin the potato, which I thought was a little odd but my kids said it saved them time from having to throw it away. The food was pretty good, brisket was moist and delicious. I didn’t try the sauce because meat shouldn’t need sauce if it’s cooked right. Will be coming back for certain. The inside is clean and large, can accommodate a large group.

I’ve been trying to find great barbecue on Houston’s west side for a long time and after reading these reviews I decided to take my orange Jeep and 100 lb dog for a ride to visit Guillory’s for the first time. I specifically wanted a pound of sliced brisket with sauce on the side and let me just say that Houston, we have a winner here that can compete with ANY of the well-known spots near downtown or anywhere else in the Houston area. I moved here in 1983 as an adult and soon discovered Texas barbecue to be one of my favorite foods and I’ve had it over the decades from all over Houston and the Hill Country areas – I can assure you that Mr. Guillory knows his craft!
He and his wife are very pleasant and accommodating and will happily prepare your order as you wish. Just very, very nice people and the food at Guillory’s Bar-B-Que is 100% on point, which makes me quite happy to know that I now have my go-to barbecue on the west side. The only thing I wish they had would be a condiment bar in the dining room with onions, pickles and jalapeños with containers for a la carte orders.
Before going, I looked Guillory’s up on facebook and found that their stuffed boudain was written about in a very nice article by Daniel Vaughn of Texas Monthly (iykyk) who had his “mind blown” by it so that’ll be something I’ll try on my next visit!
Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Guillory for being there!

This restaurant was an amazing experience. The food was so good I had to remind myself to pause and breathe, LITERALLY! Exceptional! I ordered the 3 meat plate and the ribs, chicken, sausage were all stars in their own show! And don’t get me started on the dirty rice superb. I’m eating on the carrot cake currently and I had to run to the reviews quickly! OMG! Everything is a delicacy here. Also, I would like to give a huge shout-out to my staff. They made me and my son feel as though we were apart of the family, coming over to visit on a Saturday afternoon. The hospitality, the great food, and relaxing environment. Run! And taste for yourself. I am sure you will be right next to my comment with two thumbs up!

Let me first start with cleanliness. Every time I have been to guillorys it is always clean especially the restroom. Next and most important the food had me about to shed a tear on the way home. If you like a Beaumont style link they got it. If you want great brisket they got it. If you want ribs that’ll make you turn your car around just to place another order they got it. Everybody don’t have good potato salad put they got it. Almost bit my finger food so good. Great customer service and friendly staff. They got me!!

Came in after going to UH men’s basketball game. We got the brisket and sausage. It was excellent. We also had dirty rice, cole slaw and beans as sides. For dessert we had carrot cake and peach cobbler. Will definitely add Guillory’s BBQ to the rotation.

Took a little while but he did tell me it would, better than the guy in front of me they forgot about who had been waiting for 40 minutes (with maybe one order ahead of him and it was after 1 in the afternoon). Ordered the loaded brisket baked potato. It’s ok, flavor maybe a little off, could just be the sauce, expected more with the reviews, maybe Pappas BBQ has ruined me for baked potatoes ♂
Not worth it for 17 bucks.

While visiting Houston, my friend took me to this BBQ spot, and I’m so glad he did! The food was absolutely incredible—tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Every bite had that authentic, smoky goodness that makes great BBQ stand out. On top of that, the service was fantastic! The restaurant is father-and-son owned, and you can really feel the passion they put into their food and hospitality. The staff was welcoming and made the experience even better. If you’re in Houston and looking for amazing BBQ, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!

The biggest red flag at a hole in the wall place is when they have zero diet options for drinks. Just walk away if this is ever the case.
I’m new to this side of town and I stopped in this place as the nearest BBQ place to where I work. I paid for my order at 12:16. I was still waiting for my order at 1:02.
How is that even possible? It’s a BBQ joint, they probably had everything cooked by 6am this morning.
All that and the 2 orders that came in after me left with food before me.
First and last time for me.
