Edit: I can’t reply to Barry’s reply to me, but there will be no next time. If they think what they served me is acceptable there is no hope, it should have never made it anywhere other than the trashcan. Barry, this review is not feedback to you, but rather a warning to others that you make a product worse than Einstein’s – that’s pathetic.
I haven’t tasted the bagel yet. But I ordered a poppy seed bagel. There are 24 poppy seeds on the bagel. No wonder the store looked like no other customers had been in weeks.

This is definitely our favorite bagel place! They bagels and coffee are always fresh and delicious. Super friendly service. They make you feel so welcomed into the restaurant. Great selection of bagels to choose from & plenty of seating and parking. We usually pick up the bagels but have also eaten in. Both are great options.

Barry Bagels in Dublin does not disappoint. The staff are very friendly and they have a nice variety of food options. My go-to order is a blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese – to which they do not slack on a nice amount of cream cheese, and a sausage, egg & cheese on a plain bagel – the sausage and eggs are made nice and fresh and they offer a nice portion of each.

I needed a quick bite so last Saturday I went to Barry’s Bagels. I asked for a toasted sesame bagel. Before I could stop the person putting on the butter, she slathered so much butter on both sides of it, wrapped it and handed it down to the cashier. When I got to my place of business which is nearby, I opened it and it almost gagged me to see how much butter was on this bagel! I tried to wipe it off as best I could with a paper towel, but basically it had melted so much my bagel was ruined. I ate about 1/2 of it and tossed the rest. My last trip to this establishment. Even though I occasionally work nearby, I haven’t gone there in a long time. What puts me off a little is the condition of the glass in the front of the store. That needs more consistent attention than the business owners give it.

I have to admit I am a latecomer to Barry Bagels. I first discovered them in their hometown of Toledo, where they are an institution. I was thrilled to learn there are a few shops right here in Columbus, too!
Barry Bagel’s are boiled and not baked – and that makes all the difference. Crunchy on the outside and chewy delicious on the inside…I am hooked. Both local locations are terrific and the service is patient and friendly.
Do yourself a favor and stop in. Taste the difference and you will be hooked. My favorite combo is a toasted Asiago Cheese with scallion cream cheese and a slice of tomato.

I went in on 7-12-2025 at 10:50 AM to get some breakfast. When I walked in a young lady with brown hair was working, I greeted her and said “how are you today?” And she didn’t respond. She asked what I wanted coldly. I said “please” and “thank you” after literally every thing I said to her. She was short with me and seemed visibly upset that she had to communicate with me. I didn’t let it bother me until the next person who was a female came in line and got treated entirely differently. The employee working was smiling and happy with the female customer and treated her with the respect that I was treating the employee with but was not returned to me. The employee sat my bagel on the counter without a bag and walked away. When the female customer got to the end of the counter, the employee offered her a bag, and told her to have a nice day. Then I asked the employee for a bag and she handed it to me, then looked at the female customer right in front of me and said “have a nice day” to her again. Not once did she extend any friendliness or respect that I showed to her back to me. She seemed about late high school or early college aged and spoke English as her primary language. I spoke to the female customer and said “it must be nice to be treated nicely by people” and she said “wow, I can’t believe she was rude to you like that”. I can see why this place isn’t nearly as busy as it used to be, higher prices along with getting treated poorly just for the way you look. Don’t know if I’ll be coming back here because I had a similar experience a couple years ago with a different employee and it took me a while to finally come back. PLEASE train your employees to treat every customer the same, or at least the polite customers who say “please” and “thank you” over and over again. It’s really not that difficult.

Awful service from the staff here, it’s such a shame as the bagels are actually really nice.
Being from London, this place is up there with the famous Beigel Bake in Brick Lane in terms of taste, however it’s the service that let’s it down.
The woman making the Bagel kept rolling her eyes everytime you asked for a filling in your bagel.
When we asked for egg in the Bagel, she gave us such a dealthy stare, almost as if she was going to have to lay the eggs herself.
I’m.sure she overcharged us too, $25 for 2 bagels.

My first time ever trying Barry’s Bagels today, 8/9. Didn’t know about the place, had time to kill before my kids’ haircuts.
It was a great experience! My photos can’t do it justice but the bagel sandwiches were super stacked and delicious. I love the amount of options there for everything, the tuna fish mix was tasty, dat egg sandwich was THICC.
Great atmosphere and the staff working the counter were so incredibly kind and helpful. I was a bit bumbling, being my first time, it’s a little overwhelming, but they walked me through the process with good humor and good spirits. Very cool people.
I’m not generally a bagel person, I tend to forget they exist, but I’ll be back because it’s only been three hours but I’m already wanting that sandwich again. I’m glad I found this place and kudos to the hard workers for making it a delicious place to visit!
