Happened to stop by after the farmers market. SO GOOD. The man at the counter was nice and I ordered a beef patty. It was fairly priced $6 and was fresh, hot, and crispy. Would definitely go back to try the other foods.

I haven’t had Haitian food before but I would say Guigui’s is one of the finest Haitian cuisines with so many delicious menus to choose from. I got pork sandwich and smoked herring patty and they tasted so wonderful! The customer service is superb as well! Will definitely come back for more!

I was excited to learn about a new Haitian restaurant. I love Haitian food and eat it often. I had the beef legume with white rice with sos pwa (black bean ‘sauce’). It was okay, I have had much better.
The beef was shredded and scanty. I could barely taste it. The white rice was a bit bland. There’s an art with the various Haitian rice dishes. The white rice often has a nice garlicy favor that this one was missing.
I also was able to taste the pork griot. One of my friends ordered it with Djon Djon rice (rice blacken with mushrooms). This too was just okay. The pikliz was interesting. The cabbage was sliced in bigger pieces (not typical small shredded pieces) and it was something else different about it but I forget. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture.
The owner came by and was very nice, friendly and helpful with the selection/ordering. I wish I could have given it more stars as I know starting a new restaurant is difficult. I think this might have must been an off day since there’s a lot of fabulous reviews.

I’m Haitian, and for Father’s Day, my daughter treated me to this restaurant, which I hadn’t heard of before. I was genuinely excited to try their Haitian cuisine. Sadly, the experience was very disappointing. The paté lacked flavor, the griot was tough, dry, and chewy, and the bannann peze had a rubbery texture. It all tasted as if it had been reheated in a microwave long before it reached our table. I wish I had something positive to say, but I’ll leave it at that.

Ordered the pork (griyo) and sauteed cabbage. I didn’t know quite what to expect but it was delicious. Pork was very crispy and cabbage still had a nice bite to it. The spicy slaw was a surprise, but very good.

I tried my best to enjoy it but I had to quit. The griot and pikliz had no flavor. I have honestly never had bland diri djondjon before today. I really struggled with leaving this review because as a Haitian I don’t want to hurt a Haitian business but this was not good at all. Very disappointing.

Located within the Clarksville common foodhall, this splendid little shop offers a variety of Haitian cuisine. The owner who runs it is very friendly, and explained the different menu options to me as I am not too familiar with Haitian cuisine. I ended up getting the Pumpkin Soup since it was a special and, well, its fall! It was amazing. Big chunks of stewed pumpkin and potatoes and helping portions of very tender beef. Highly recommend!

Had a wonderful time and meal at Guigui’s. As always the food was delicious, the service was very good and we enjoyed ourselves. We had Kréyol chicken, griyo with plantains, house rice, sauteed cabbage, macaroni au gratin, and beans and rice.

This place gets a 10/10. The owner was so sweet and the food more than spokenfor itself. Tjisnis also the ONLY haitian restaurant that I have been to in the DMV that has Griot on their menu. To me that makes this place authentic to what a Haitian restaurant is. You won’t regret eating here!!
