Not a bad Drive-In type of place. Burgers and hot dogs were good. The ice cream was spot on. Service was quick. Cash Only type of place which I would say is really the only negative thing.

They make the best foot-long hot dogs. For a 13.99 combo, you get a foot long hotdog , fries and fountain drink. Toppings include chili, relish, etc. The hot dog bread is grilled and nice and toasty. The fries are fried to perfection. Chili is not very spicy but does have a kick to it and so tasty. Other combos include cheeseburger and chicken. They have counter seating.
They also serve ice cream on an adjacent area.
It’s a small joint that gets filled up fairly quick.
There is plenty of parking
They are closed on Mondays.

This is my hot dog spot. I’m sure everything else on the menu is wonderful, but I have my regular I order. When I am in the mood, I’ll add a shake. The ice cream is great on a hot day.
It’s a step back to a simpler time when you walk in — stools at a counter and 4-person booths.

Buttery toasted grilled hotdogs, and the best icecream ever-the good kind too, hard and slow melting and creamy!!! And not sickeningly sweet!

My husband and I have always been so curious to visit Guida’s, so after years of talking about it, we finally stopped in for lunch. For being voted CT’s best hot dogs before, we can’t say we were impressed. We liked that they were long, but they were very thin, and we didn’t care for the overall flavor. Pretty pricey too. Fun retro vibe and they serve Gifford’s ice cream, but don’t see ourselves coming back. Our server was nice though for the brief moments spent at the table.

If you are a hot dog lover, this is the place for you. The hot dogs were grilled beautifully, and the meat sauce was perfection! We requested no buns, but they were buttered and grilled and looked amazing. I’m sure the buns would have only added to the joyful experience. In addition, there is a variety of ice cream flavors and toppings to satisfy your sweet tooth. If you go, be prepared. The restaurant is old school and only takes cash.

Racist towards black and brown people. Will just stare at you with a nasty stiff demeanor the whole time. So much hatred and wickedness in the people who work here. Poor customer service. I would not recommend this place at all. This is my birthday weekend and I happened to be riding past this place and I asked my fiance to stop for ice cream. They claimed they were cash only and I only had card. So my finance came in to pay for my ice cream and I watched the staff just stare at him and one of the women tried to throw his change at him. He told her to put it in the tip bucket and she turned around and threw the change in the back room. Pure quickness. No weapon formed against me and my family shall prosper in the MIGHTY name of Yahusha Hamashiach.

The milkshake was literally only half full for a large and Sunday we got didn’t even have whipped cream or cherry on top and it was almost $10. I was on Stop & Shop and making it myself.SMH Yes, I appreciate that. It’s a local restaurant without a big chain than that please Get it together Dog are good that’s about it

We stopped here for hot dogs the other day. The ten-inch long dogs were grilled perfectly with butter on New England style rolls. We added an order of onion rings and went outside to the picnic tables to enjoy our meal. The onion rings were greasy but the hot dogs were very enjoyable.
Guida’s is an old established dairy in Connecticut which is primarily known for its milk and distributed widely. Their restaurant here also offers a variety of ice cream.
Customers can dine in or order take out. Service was speedy and courteous. A few years of framed tasters choice Awards on the walls show many people feel their hot dogs are the best.
