Guadalupe’s Mexican Grill, named after Our Lady of Guadalupe, are locally, family-owned, fast casual restaurants with a scratch, open-concept kitchens that have no cans, microwaves, or freezers. We prepare our recipes in-house, by hand daily. Recipes were crafted by Chef Carlos Zepeda who hails from Silao, Guanajuato Mexico. We cut veggies by hand, slow cook meats, make our own salsas, shred cheese off the block, and pickle jalapeños. We cook… here. Try the homemade pineapple water, homemade limeade, canned exclusive Mexican lager, or margaritas. Vegans, vegetarians, and gluten sensitive individuals love our menu! See website. Our family appreciates your business. We believe in impacting souls and spreading joy. ¡Viva Cristo Rey!

A couple weeks ago we were in Fort Wayne for the weekend and finally visited the Guadalupe’s Mexican Grill on Fort Leo Rd. I’d planned to go back on this visit, but Christmas with the Family was going to take up a lot of time. A last-minute visit to Kroger landed us in the parking lot. My empty stomach started talking to we decided to drive around the parking lot to see if there was somewhere we could grab a quick dinner and *BLAMMO*, there’s another Guadalupe’s!
Honestly, Guadalupe’s stands out from the “assemble as you go down the line” Mexican eateries. They have an impressive amount of food options. Chicken, steak, barbacoa, carnitas, tofu, veggies, chorizo, ground beef, and chicken barbacoa are the protein options! It’s impressive. you can chose a burrito, a bowl, tacos, a salad, or nachos. All with add-ins like veggies, cheese(s) and sauce(s). The Hot White Queso is Top Notch!
For sides you can always add Chips & Salsa/Queso/Guac (for a slight upcharge, natch), as well as beans and/or rice.
On both of our visits to both locations there was someone actively preparing fresh veggies. Even at 7:30 in the evening, he was cutting and slicing and dicing.
I went with my favorite (Chicken burrito with a whole lot of stuff in it) and a fountain drink. They also have a number of Jarritos® as well was beers…in fact, they have their own Mexican Lager!
They also have their own bottled hot sauce. I’m glad to say that their hot sauce is GOOD!
The prices are quite reasonable and the staff is friendly. My wife and I both noticed how clean the restaurant was, and how quickly they cleared tables that had emptied.
Like the other location we visited, this sign is on the wall and I thinks speaks to the essence of Guadalupe Mexican Grill.
No Cans.
No Microwaves.
No Freezers.
Made from Scratch.
We moved away from our favorite place in Indy for burritos so this is our new go to!
Additionally, this place is truly Catholic (as their name and decor suggests). I have seen them do some tremendous things for those in need who come into their store, and they really do live out their Christian mission. I Highly recommend going here!
