The food was very tasteful and filling. The fresh squeezed orange juice is a must, I could have took a pitcher home. Carlee our waitress was nice, familiar with the menu and was attentive to us. The next time we come back I will try the cinnamon roll pancake. Great food!! Great Spot!! Great atmosphere for brunch!!

This was my first time visiting this restaurant, and unfortunately, I was very disappointed. I was referred here by friends and expected a much better experience.
The pancakes were the biggest issue. They were extremely rubbery and not easy to cut the way pancakes normally should be. Instead of being light and fluffy, they were tough and unpleasant to eat, which made it difficult to enjoy the meal at all.
Overall, the food did not meet my expectations, and based on this experience, I don’t think I will be returning.

Grumpy’s Restaurant in St. Johns, FL is a solid breakfast spot ☀️ . I ordered the fried chicken Benedict—flavorful overall, though the chicken was slightly bitter this time. The pancake, however, completely stole the show: fluffy, golden, and delicious! ✨. The restaurant itself is clean, spacious, and bright, with high ceilings that make it feel comfortable and open. Ms Cam s was my server and she was amazing but, the friendly atmosphere and welcoming environment was noticed the moment I walked through the door.
The food was amazingly delicious, came out extremely fast and fresher then should be possible for the speed especially considering they where nearly full when I arrived and at least half the guests had bot ordered yet.

The portions are huge. The food has flavor (seasoning) lol. Laid back location. Great environment. Our waiter was attentive and familiar with the menu. Overall great experience!

Pleasantly surprised, expecting a run down diner which doesn’t deter us. Service was excellent, nice and cheerful. Coffee especially good served in a good solid ceramic mug. Menu selection excellent, I was able to add avocado as a side. Four eggs served hot over medium to perfection, usually runny or hard, both mine and my husband’s were done with just a little runny yolk. Sausage links were cooked well and delicious. We’ll make the trip up from St. Augustine just for breakfast, instead of just stopping by after a pick up in Jacksonville. Atmosphere was very nice too.

Arrived Sunday at 10:30am, waited about 20 min to be sat… worth the wait, food is delicious. Angela, our server was beyond sweet and attentive.
You can’t beat the price, especially because the quality of the food is so good and fresh! Best orange juice too.
We had the #1 special, pancakes, French toast, veggie omelet, avocado toast, MADD wrap and cinnamon rolls. All yummy! It’s been a long time since our family of 5 ate well for $100 bucks!
By the time we left, the place was packed! The amount of people waiting outside was crazy, specially with a heat advisory!

First time trying Grumpy’s. A good experience overall. Steak & eggs is my staple and Grumpy’s delivered on the money. Steak was cooked to the temp I wanted. My only concern was the waffle I ordered. The waffle was too crunchy for me. The server said they used to get complaints about their waffles not being done all the way through. Now the kitchen just makes the waffles extra crunchy. Make sure to tell them to take it easy on the waffle if you don’t like crunchy waffle like me. Nice & clean establishment. Good food with attentive service. Will revisit.

What a wonderful experience!! The servings are HUGE! We had the Hashbrown Omelette, Cinnamon Roll Pancakes, & Fried Chicken Benedict . All for under $50!! Even the owner stopped by to check on us and thank us for visiting! It’s so hard to find good service for reasonable $$ these days and they were wonderful
