Christmas Eve lunch and a great choice overall. The restaurant had a warm, festive holiday atmosphere, and our server, Avery, was wonderful—friendly, attentive, and on top of everything throughout our visit.

We started with the calamari, which was excellent. The portion was solid, and the dipping sauce was so good we ended up asking for extra because it went fast.

I ordered the lunch schnitzel, and it was outstanding. It covered the entire plate and was cooked perfectly—crispy on the outside and tender inside.

My wife chose the chicken fried steak. While the steak itself was good, she wasn’t a fan of the gravy, which seemed a bit off or possibly too spicy for her taste.

We took a slice of carrot cake to go, but unfortunately it didn’t impress and was the only real miss of the meal.

Overall, we really enjoyed our experience, especially the Christmas ambiance. If we’re in the area again, this is a place we’d gladly return to.

Took the hubby and our two littles and we all really enjoyed the food. The entrée portions were HUGE, and this was during lunch! We also made it for happy hour and I loved their peach bellini, so delicious. Overall, I’m really glad we decided to stop by and we’ll definitely be returning.

My husband and I came for a date night and it was such a nice cozy place. The outdoor landscaping is beautiful and inviting. Inside they have TVs in many areas of the dinning rooms to watch your favorite broadcasting sport. The food was definitely a 10/10 and so was the service. I have to say I think I found the best artichoke dip in town!

My wife and I came here for dinner before seeing Junior Brown next door at the Gruene Dance Hall. We have both been in the service and hospitality industry for decades. This was one of our favorite dining experiences ever. The building is beautiful and very cozy for such a big space. The place was hopping but the staff was on top of everything. We got there around 7pm on a Friday and we only waited 20 minutes for our table. We were seated on the back patio overlooking a stunning Texas sunset over the Guadalupe River. Our server Renee took our drink and salad orders immediately. We ordered our entrees when she dropped the drinks and salads and the food arrived before we finished! Both our dinners were absolutely perfect but my chicken fried steak plate was the hit of the evening. I don’t say this lightly, but this was the best chicken fried steak I’ve ever had. Tender, juicy, no gristle at all, and above all the breading was golden brown and even the last bite covered in gravy was still crunchy! I had to fight my wife off several times from invading my plate! Renee provided exceptional service, the food was spot on and the atmosphere was top notch. We can’t wait to come back, this is our #1 spot in Gruene!

Such a beautiful restaurant!! Inside and outside had gorgeous views. We sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine and views of the river. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Our server was so friendly and attentive.

It was Great. The food for 6 people came in 20 minutes and 30 seconds. There was so much good. The food was great, juicy and delicious. This is a restaurant with actually good prices. Will come back. Edit: Thank you for responding I will come back especially for those GREAT prices.

We enjoyed our dinner here. We got two apps, which was waaay too much food but they were both really good. The jalapeno crawfish chowder was so freaking good. Hubby got the redfish and liked it. The service was great too. They were busy but the waitress was very attentive and no long waits.

This was our first time there, we normally eat at the other big named restaurant in town, but we decided to try something new. There were a ton of people waiting in line, no surprise there. But when we got to the podium that sat us immediately. Turns out they had 2 very large parties waiting that didn’t make reservations. So to our surprise we got right in! Amazing! They did take a bit to get our drink order but honestly we didn’t mind because once we placed our order, we got it right away then our appetizer then our food. The food was plenty and delicious. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

Just left The Grill. Lauren was out waitress. She was phenomenal. Great personality. Kept our tea and water filled. The Chicken fried steak was amazing. Fantastic taste. We also had Chicken piccata..very good. Along with their Trifecta appetizer. Great job Lauren, 500 stars for you.
