Was disappointed. Heard the food was good. So came here for Christmas Dsy Lunch with hubby and mom. I ordered the Blackened Shrimp pasta. Came with 4 shrimp which was good but pasta was bland and dry.
Mom had fish n chips and the fish was beer battered but hard on outside crust. Hard to cut and did not like the slaw at all.
Hubby had the nachos which was dry and not tasty at all. Totally not worth the $ at all. Environment was good and scene of golf course and service was good
Water is not filtered at all. Like really for the price seriously. Will not be back.

Nicker’s is a slam dunk quick getaway for us since we live so close by. We stopped in on a Thursday about 1 and were immediately seated by a window. Nicker’s has a gorgeous view overlooking the Mission Resort’s golf course and lake.

My wife ordered the Swiss burger with sweet potato fries (no upcharge!), and I had the Cuban sandwich with regular fries. Everything came out in a reasonable time. My wife really enjoyed her burger and fries. I thought my Cuban would have benefited from less ham and more carnitas, but it was still delicious.

Our server, Lydia, was friendly and attentive, and everything met our expectations. Considering that Nicker’s is part of the Mission Resort, the prices are decent. Enjoy!

3.5 Went for lunch and ordered the chicken salad and crackers. Very disappointed that the crackers–in this higher scale restaurant–were packaged off-brand Clubhouse crackers. SYSCO product. I would have expected some higher end crackers like water crackers or artisan flatbread crackers. Chicken salad was good and fresh; served on 2 lettuce leaves. No other veggies or garnishes. Server (cannot remember her name) never found the answer to my question about whether you served espresso drinks. She said she would ask but never gave me the answer. All in all, I expected more from Mission Inn.

We made a reservation for a small group (5) of women. When making the reservation and again when we arrived at resort and called for directions, at no time were we told that the restaurant was previously known as Nickers and no new signage for the Grove House was present.

After finding the restaurant adjacent to the golf shop, we were greeted with a musty smell. The hostess took a few moments to confirm our table (with only one group seated in the restaurant).

The wine list was underwhelming — no winery listed and the waitress had little info except the winery name. The service was average. One party member had to leave the table to take her empty diet coke glass to the bar for a refill, as the waitress did not check back.

The food again was average and we would have been better off spending the money at one of the Villages many golf course restaurants. No need to return.

Came here today for the first time, after hearing my Mom rave about it for the past year. Service was excellent, food was delicious, and the scenery was beautiful. I think the amount of food you can get is great for the price, if you can eat a lot. It is buffet style, all you can eat sushi, vegetables, rice, potatoes, meat, deserts, etc. I had what I guess was an orange creamsicle-tasting cake that had pudding in it and whipped cream. If I’d have known what it was, I wouldn’t have tried it because I wouldn’t have thought that I’d have liked it. But I didn’t see that the deserts had names on them, so I just picked it up. I was pleasantly surprised! The crab legs were really good, and there was some kind of cold potato salad that was delicious as well. The Basa fish was also really good. I’d like to come back another day to try different things, maybe come for lunch, too.

A 5-star casual-elegant lunch experience. Beautiful location and views from our table. $14 for a cup of seafood chowder and a half chicken caprese sandwich. Great house wine, Meiomi. Quick, courteous and knowledgeable service. A great place to take Mom for lunch. Open til 5pm most days, later on steak and seafood buffet weekends.

Went for Orlando Magical Dining, the meal and service were both awful. The macadamia nut crusted mahi wasn’t fresh (it was gray in color) and the plate was over sauced.
The strawberry garnish on the plate for the key lime pie had mold on it, and it was obvious desserts are plated pre-service and sit in a cooler.
Because I was dining alone I only sawy server to order and deliver the check. All the food was delivered by other people and I couldn’t get anyone to refill my water.

Went for the buffet, it was a bit expensive but not too bad. We had a later reservation (you will need a reservation) which unfortunately meant the prime rib was over cooked and dry. The Sushi was pretty good and there were quite a few selections. The crab legs were pretty good but the peel and eat shrimp were mushy. They really did a pretty good job keeping food out even though it was getting close to 9pm. We did have to wait on crab legs a couple of times. It may be worse earlier. Overall we had a good evening.

Excellent lunch today. Wife and I shared the roasted mushrooms with spinach, cheese, and cream. Awesome!
Then we split a turkey sandwich on rye with fries.
Waiter was William. Awesome.
