Very good coffee too.
Overall tasty and fresh food. Me likey!!
I also tried the Healthy Asian Salad, and let’s just say it truly lives up to its name — maybe too much. I’m a self-proclaimed health junkie, but this one felt like foraging directly from the sea. Gigantic leafy greens, earthy mushrooms, some kind of seaweed situation… it was fresh, yes, but I found myself feeling like I was eating straight out of the ocean. Admirably wholesome, just not my jam. Next time, I’ve got my eye on their vegan bowl, which looks much more my speed.
The menu overall is impressively expansive, thoughtfully inclusive of vegan and vegetarian options, and brimming with what I’d call “elevated casual” plates. My waitress was fantastic — warm, attentive, and effortlessly cool — matching the vibey energy of the space itself. The interior is chic yet inviting, with indoor and outdoor seating perfect for El Paso’s sunny brunch culture.
If there’s one thing that surprises me, it’s the hours. For such a popular, food-forward plaza, closing at 4 p.m. feels almost criminal — those folks with 9-to-5s can only dream of a late-day Grove fix. Still, when you do catch them open, it’s a genuinely delightful spot that makes brunch feel intentional rather than routine.
Tried a pistachio macaroon, well it is not, no pistachio flavor detected and all you get is sugar green food coloring flavor. The raspberry was over kill and chunky.
Food brought out without silverware & it was obvious from that moment that the attention to detail was missing. Our server never once came by to check on us, never refilled a drink, my wife had to go up and ask for more cream for her meal to another person behind the bar and a second time to get a water refill, which always amazes me that when the customer has to leave their seat not once but twice, try to rebuild the relationship with the customer by atleast thinking “maybe I should bring them both a drink refill” but not this time.
Then we had to ask not once but twice for the check, after the first time we were told “oh I thought someone else got it” when we could SEE OUR WAITRESS STAND IN THE BAR AREA JUST TALKING WITH HER COWORKERS BECAUSE THERE IS NO WHERE TO HIDE IN THIS RESTAURANT FOR US NOT TO SEE WHAT YOU ARE DOING.
then once the bill comes, we wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait, no one comes by to get the check or our card, so fortunately I had exact change to leave. At this point, I can justify not leaving a tip and I HATE making that justification but why am I paying for service that I didn’t get?
We both ordered breakfast, food was mid at best. Pancakes were super dry, I tried to be positive about them saying nonsense like “it’s probably vegan and healthy” or “they didn’t use any butter so it’s better that way” but the service performance made me cut the crap and recognize the lack of any sort of flavor in the pancakes and the grove potatoes, which were also dry and flavorless.
It’s sad because I saw the table directly next to us, with the same waitress, have an exceptionally better overall experience compared to us and we were sat first with the couple plus young child sat maybe 5 minutes after us.
For two breakfast meals, a $5.50 fruity drink (with no booze in it) & two waters to come to $35.99, I might as well be in LA or NY, for El Paso to charge that much is absurd.
The matcha wasn’t my favorite—it was really light in color, not the bright green I expected, so maybe they used a lot of oat milk. I usually drink mine plain, so I could tell it wasn’t the best quality.
The restaurant is on the smaller side, but it’s super cute and has that desert-chic vibe. Definitely worth checking out.
The acoustics are terrible. The music is very loud and yet you can hears other people’s conversations. They were probably talking very loud due the blasting music.
Menus were sticky and dirty looking. The bathrooms have not seen a mop and soap in a long time. The floor is sticky and visibly dirty. The attached pictures show how dirty the bathrooms are. Hopefully the management will insist on certain cleanliness standards.
