This was a shame. I have visited the Columbia Groucho’s and loved it. Its hard to justify paying $11 for a sandwich like this. And the pickle spear…its my fav part of delis! This limp little excuse for a pickle is going straight in the trash. Maybe this should be the example photo online because its certainly not as advertised. Bummer.

Stopped in today for lunch on a quiet Saturday downtown. Our food came out really fast and was so yummy. Service was great, everyone was so nice. Our sandwiches were perfect and it was quiet and clean in the restaurant. We will definitely be back to try out more sandwiches. Also the menu is huge! They have salads, sandwiches, pitas, all kinds of cool stuff. 10/10

First impression. Walked in very relaxed environment, cool music and nice decor! So I ordered the Reuben variation for $13! Order came out pretty quick which I liked being on a lunch break. Open the lid on the carry out box, what did I see? A beautiful looking sandwich that called out to me saying eat me. The rye bread had a nice crisp to it, the pastrami seemed to be lacking a little flavor the kraut was warm and on point. Had the right amount sauce not to over powering. I do believe the sweet tea was made in house, but was still very good. Can’t go wrong with the pickle, the sauce that came on the side which I do believe is their house sauce. Which was good but definitely different from others. Overall I would come back for more

We are just visiting for the weekend. Happened to see this deli open and we were hungry for lunch. Gave it a try. Friendly staff. I ordered the Roast Beef sandwich and my husband ordered the chicken salad sandwich. Both equally as good. But that chicken salad was delicious!

Great location downtown and a great atmosphere. Alyssa was a super friendly and knowledgeable waitress. The gluten-free bun being available was a nice surprise. Unlike a lot of gluten-free breads, it had great texture, moisture, and didn’t fall apart with the slightest touch. We will definitely be back.

I enjoyed my meal here, and I must compliment their staff member on how things were handled when a mistake was made. I had asked for additional veggies on my sandwich, and they were missing from the order. So, I asked for them on the side, and the employee working the counter was gracious and immediately corrected the situation. She was polite and friendly when taking my order, and I also saw her checking on people in the dining area to see if they were enjoying their meals and if they needed anything. Expect a higher price point than you would find at some other chain restaurant shops in the area, but you get what you pay for. The service was superior, and the quality of the food was as well. I had a vegetarian sandwich, and the vegetables all were fresh, the chips were some of the best I have had, the iced tea had a good flavor, and the blondie I had for dessert tasted freshly-baked that day, which is more than I can say for some of the coffee shops in the area. The dining area was clean and well-maintained. I can recommend this restaurant, and think it would be a pleasant place for families to dine, with a wide selection of sandwiches. Bravo to good management! If you look at some of the other comments, it is evident they are paying attention to their quality of service, presentation, and ingredient sourcing.

This is a good place for a quick lunch. The potato salad tho had way too much dill and that’s all you can taste, the pasta salad also wasn’t very flavorful. The sandwiches however were fantastic and I can’t wait to have another one soon!

This is the first time we’ve been to a Groucho’s so we didn’t know what to expect. The place is very clean and spacious, which sometimes makes the sound echo. Hard surfaces cause sound to echo in the room. The menu has a large variety of hot sandwiches, deli cold cut stuff and salads and desserts. We ordered the Apollo Dipper with formula 45 (which is this thousand island mixed sauce concoction which happened to be the best part of the meal), and a rueben variation. The Apollo Dipper was essentially a basic sub roll (thankfully soft and like a Cuban bread without the crust) filled with turkey and ham and topped with Swiss. It was pretty unimpressive on its own but with the formula 45 it really tasted great. The chips that came with the meal were also surprisingly bland but were saved with the addition of the sauce. The Rueben was ok, but the roast beef was overly peppered/seasoned, and they topped it with a large amount of yellow mustard which made it taste very powerful. Our waitress was attentive and nice, and the service was good. Price wise, you can expect to pay around 8 dollars for most sandwiches, but keep in mind they do charge you for stuff like extra sauces and even has a 25 cent surcharge for water (no free water here). I would probably come back to try more of their menu since they have a large variety of things.

My husband and I stopped by to beat the heat and grab a cocktail. Our server was very nice and the restaurant was clean. Although we didn’t end up eating here, the menu looked delicious.
