We went on a Friday night and was seated quickly by the friendly staff. We were waiting on quickly and it didn’t take long to get drinks or food. The ziti was hot with a lot of melted cheese and the picky eater in our group loved it. All of the food was delicious, hot, and came out fast. The tree display is beautiful and they all do such a great job for a good cause. We arrived at a good time and not long after all of the tables were full and there was a long wait to be seated. I definitely recommend trying this place but expect a wait during busy times. Even with the tables full and a long wait food appeared to be coming out fast and hot. I have been coming here once or twice a year for around 20 years and have never been disappointed. I have been to several Grotto pizzas and this one is definitely the best. Hope they continue making great food and I look forward to my next visit.

It’s Grotto’s. The staff was friendly. The food was good. Not greasy. However mozzarella sticks were over cooked and oozed out. The Stromboli’s were great. The Pizza was Awesome & Perfect!!

It was the server’s first day, so I’ll cut her a little slack. However, she did make several errors and left them uncorrected. Switched sodas of people at the table and brought out the wrong pizza. The place wasn’t even busy. The food was good and the atmosphere was great but that server needs to take a pen and paper with her next time!
Second time we went, we sat at the bar. Not the best service despite being slow. They definitely need more bartenders to work the whole bar. Food was decent.
Most recent visit: we started at the bar. This bartender was better but kept screwing up my boyfriend’s beer order. We got hot wing dip, paid our tab, then went to a table. Service was HORRIBLE. We practically had to beg for a server to pay attention to us, and she took forever to get us simple drinks. I understand there was a party going on outside on the patio, but there was plenty of staff walking by, acting as if they couldn’t even see us. The food was pretty good, but the band was deafening. We moved from the bar to escape the band and still had a hard time hearing each other. We knew some other people there, said hi, then they left as we were eating, stating they couldn’t get service at all despite moving tables to be seen better by the staff.
Being a sports bar, you’d expect to have the football games on one of the many TVs, but we had the hardest time getting them up after asking politely for over an hour before the games even started. Very disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend going and prefer not to go back myself. Next time, if I go, I will just order take out if at all.

If I didn’t have to leave a star review I wouldn’t even leave one star. The service was awful took forever for us to get our drinks let alone any refills. Waited an half an a half to get our food. The same waitress came to our table 3 times trying to give us a pizza that we already had finally my daughter had to remind her she asked us 3 times and the answer was the same all 3 times. They wont even take an rewards card they said because it was out of state although I got the card in wilkesbarre. They brought our pizza out that we ordered with extra sauce, no cheese, and was cold! The extra sauce was supposed to be for the calazone! Awful awful service!! Never again!

My son and I went on a Thursday evening. There was a live musician playing a guitar. Usually the entertainment is unremarkable but the cover songs were very tastefully done and sounded great, even from our seats in the game room. For those that do not know, the game room is off to the side of the enormous horseshoe bar. We had a Pina Colada and Raspberry Daiquiri. Don’t judge, it was sweet drink night my son declared. The pizza and chicken Caesar wrap was great and the service was even better. We ended up getting a free pizza because the manager said they were unsure about the extra toppings and just to be sure, they made a second tray. This was alright with us of course. The whole experience was very nice and easy going and it may end up being a father son tradition.

I have ordered Cauliflower crust pizza from Grotto in the past and it was pretty good. Yesterday I ordered my usual Cauliflower crust with bacon and onions. It was probably the worst pizza I’ve ever had. There was no cheese on it and barely any bacon and onions. The crust was tough and over cooked. For the expensive price I paid I expect better quality food. Plus they don’t deliver anymore. Not a happy customer!

Great place to have pizza and a beer with a nice view. The outdoor seating is great and the indoor is spacious. I’d recommend it if you’re in the area. We tried to clean our plates but didn’t get all the way through. A medium is good for two.

The Grotto/Grand Slam Sports Bar and Restaurant is a landmark at Harvey’s Lake. It’s menu consists of pizza, wings, salads, calzone, and more.
We arrived at 6 p.m. on a Saturday night, and we’re able to have a seat on it’s wraparound deck facing the lake.
The chef’s salad was very good, with slices of ham, turkey, and a hard boiled egg sitting on a bed of lettuce.
We ordered several types of pizza, which came in 16 and 8-inch pies. The chicken wing. Margherita, pepperoni and onion, and regular pizzas were very good, with plenty of toppings evenly distributed throughout the traditional round pies.
The Grotto also has a wide selection of adult beverages, such as beer, wine, bourbon, etc.
All in all, Grotto’s isva pleasant place to have a casual Italian meal while enjoying the view of the lake
