Family-friendly pizzeria & sports-bar chain offering a broad menu of Italian mainstays.

Food was good. I wouldn’t say it’s the absolute best, but good. Wings could have been crispier (even ordered extra crispy), but my standards for wings are high being from Buffalo. ♀️ I enjoyed the Mama Grotto pizza with super chunky sauce but the rest of my party wasn’t feeling it. They preferred the standard pie. The BBQ sauce for the wings and the lemon pepper sauce were fantastic!

Love Grotto in Delaware. When I’m in DE on business, at the end I go there for a good Italian meal. They have the best pizza, specially pizzas, flat breads, bolis, and burgers, sandwiches. Plenty of dining space and an open bar. Flat screen TVs all around. My first time there in hot July 2023. And I am hooked.

Ordered a large wild mushroom pizza.
A white pizza with a combination of baby portobello, cremini , and white mushrooms marinated in cream thyme and spices topped with sautéed onions.
The pizza had a lot of flavor and was good to the last slice.
The price was a little high but worth it.
Service was good.
We ordered large Birch Beers . Delicious!
We will definitely be back.

I stopped yesterday for a cheesesteak since it was convenient, and got a cheesesteak. Honestly, there is so much more potential with Grottos being such a local brand. I know people will hate, but the pizza is below average with plain sauce, boring crust and too mild pepperoni. The cheesesteak was low on flavor, too much stringy fat (need a sharper knife/spatula?) and soft/flavorless bread. Hopefully the state of Delaware doesn’t kick me out for a negative review on Grottos….

Cute place, I went on Friday afternoon and while the dining room wasn’t busy, the bar was almost full. I got a Grotto Junior (personal pizza, dine in) and then ordered a salad to go. The pizza was good, but I like my crust a bit more crunchy. However, the pizza still hit the spot after a long day of hiking. My server was very friendly (Gabrielle I think) and checked on me often. I was so focused on pizza I didn’t really look too closely at the rest of the menu, but it seemed like there were plenty of options.

Grand Slam location. Has sports bar and arcade room with decent food. I was pleased with my oversized salad topped with grilled chicken. Enough to take home for leftovers if you don’t mind waiting for the boxes to pack it up. The waiter seemed slammed for only a few tables but we were patient. The pizza is a classic in this area and always good.

Another great meal here at Grotto Pizza. This is our go-to spot to stop when we head home from the beach. Their pizza is always on point. Today, we had pizza, hot wings, and beaded ravioli. We also took a half-baked pizza home for our teen. This location has an arcade as well. Grottos has been around since 1960 and is a local favorite, with locations in Delaware and Maryland.

just another pizza store that has gotten too big for its britches by opening too many stores. The pizza does not taste as good as it did 60 years ago when I first enjoyed it at the first store in Rehoboth Beach. There is much better pizza found elsewhere than this restaurant and I suggest finding that place

Always had good experiences here until today. Guy named Marcus in the take out area was very rude. Made me feel like I was bothering him by placing an order. Then when I get there he had an even worse attitude than on the phone.
