Some of the best pizza you will ever taste.
The presentation itself is pretty cool: pizza sauce and cheese presented in swirling pattern on the pie. But, it doesn’t stop there. They have a blend of seasonings in the sauce that just pops with every bite. Definitely oregano and garlic, not heavy on onions or peppers. A perfect balance of sweet and tang. The sauce is intertwined with a tasty blend of mozzarella and cheddar, giving the cheese a nice bite. The crust is thin, but not a cracker. It has great flavor, and you can taste the ‘burnt’ underside from the ovens.
We also decided to order a caprese salad with balsamic glaze. If I didn’t love the pizza so much, I would’ve eaten that all night. There was a healthy portion of tomato chunks in with arugula, drizzled with that sweet glaze along with sweet, creamy slices of mozzarella. Yum! Definitely, an alternative if you don’t want pizza.
The XL pizza is our usual order, and the pie plate is cleaned off easily. Also, don’t forget to drink it down with PA Dutch birch beer. The two just go getter so well. The combination will become a staple for eating at the shore. I wish they were nation-wide.

Have been to several Grotto Pizza restaurants in Delaware over the years and generally speaking the experience has been average. The pizza is average and other menu items such as sub sandwiches vary. On my most recent visit dining in, the chicken cheese steak was terrible (probably the worst I’ve ever had); the chopped chicken was very dry and there was minimal cheese. Disappointing. Service dining in is better than average but have had issues in the recent past with take out. Specifically incorrect toppings. Atmosphere has always been better than average.

Horrible! I ordered a buffalo chicken boli on line, with tip paid just under $18. You will see the size comparison in photo next to my wallet. I thought the woman handing me this tiny box grabbed the wrong order. I got my money back and walked out. TO THE GREEDY OWNER, I HOPE YOU ARE EMBARRASSED, but I doubt you are or even care. Never again.

Best laid back pizza place in Bethany Beach! Always greeted with smiles, and friendly staff. The pizza is my favorite, always delicious and fresh. Never rushed, come in and enjoy your meal with family and friends; and watch the game on one of their many huge tvs. Fresh gelato for dessert is a sweet way to finish your day. Have been coming to this restaurant for over 25 years and plan to continue the tradition! Keep up the awesome job.

We have always loved the Grotto’s Margarita pizza and think that this Grotto’s location makes the best. We had an unfortunate issue with a par-bake margarita pizza recently, likely caused by a new employee that was still learning. We submitted a complaint on their website contact us form and got a very timely, professional, caring, and satisfying response from the manager, Japayl. We have been loyal Grotto’s customers for over 50 years, and now will continue, especially at this West Bethany location.

Driving for over an hour and past lunch time we were starving and cane across Grotto Pizza so stopped for lunch. I had heard how much my chiro’s assistant told me she missed when living in the area. Spacious inside with lots to choose from. My wife had the cheesesteak and I had the pizza. MY wife loved the cheesesteak after adding some red pepper and my slice of pepperoni and black olives was super. We both had cokes and shared the fries. Nice clean washrooms. Good service and they held my wife’s cell she left behind

Went for lunch and it was not busy. Ordered a gluten free pizza big enough for two people. The toppings and bread was really good! It is very relax atmosphere.
This location has an accessible parking lot. If you have a big group they are able to accommodate.

Wings were 5 times better than Harvey’s Lake, PA location which is the originating location. However, the Stromboli was very disappointing. It looked nothing like Harvey’s Lake location nor tasted as good as that location. Overall, we always end up at Grotto when visiting Rehoboth and look forward to the differences.
