Cute place and great service and food! Omelettes were huge and delicious! I had the Western omelette with swiss. The home fries were very good and the homemade corn beef hash was excellent! We did not get the pancakes, but saw how big they are! I can’t wait to go back and try them!

Delicious ice cream and worth the hype. Love being able to sit by the river with friends or family on a summer night. They also have tall tables that you can stand around which is sometimes better when you have an ice cream cone in my opinion. Dog friendly, cash only and likely a crowd. We went at closing time and there was still a line of eager customers ready to place their orders. Their milkshakes are where it’s at!

Seriously the best ice cream that my boyfriend and I have ever had. I got the chocolate peanut butter ice cream sundae with hot fudge whipped cream and a cherry and he got the vanilla peanut butter ice crean sundae along with the hot fudge and whipped cream cherry as well. behind the restaurant there are plenty of chairs to sit down and enjoy the view of the river that’s behind it. It was a beautiful little evening spent there. We cannot wait to go back

Service was fast, server was pleasant and the food was delicious. I hadn’t been there in over 30 years. Was caught off guard when husband went to pay and cards were not accepted. That would have been good to know going in as he doesn’t have a debit card to use ATM. Luckily I was with him.

What a place. Super nice staff, very comfortable, like having breakfast at home. Actually, a bit better. The waffles are enormous, I would just order 1. Also, they have no plates big enough to actually fit their gargantuan pancakes. They do accept cash and Venmo. The backyard has benches and tables alongside a river. Sounds great, very relaxing. Probably my favorite breakfast place in NJ so far

I lived in High Bridge 1980-1983. Gronsky’s was the place for milk and ice cream then and apparently still is the place. Back then the ice cream came in many flavors and each was unique and delicious. I’d return to Gronsky’s at any time for an Excellent Treat!

Never again! We were rudely greeted with “We’re closing in 2 minutes”! This was just before 1 PM on a Sunday. We said we’d leave and the waitress said “It’s okay, but you’ll have to watch us clean up”. We ordered quickly and were seated right where we could see into the food prep area. It was filthy and I’ve attached a picture. I watched as food was prepared with no gloves after the person had been handling raw bacon and then picked up bread. The waitress who had just been handling a filthy rag and then taking cash and coins picked up my waffle with her bare hands to put on the plate. The food was tolerable but when we went to pay we were told cash only. There is no sign anywhere with the hours of operation or stating that they only accept cash. I am surprised they pass a health inspection and we will never return.

One of our favorite hidden gems for breakfast! The blueberry pancake is amazing.. and huge! The sausage is fantastic, the bacon is perfectly cooked every time and the hash browns are phenomenal. The waitstaff is accommodating, friendly and very professional. Overall – one of the best places I’ve been to!
