I’ve always passed by this place on the countless times I’ve driven to Anderson from Greenwood and back. Decided to stop by to check it out and it did not disappoint. Although there was quite a wait, it was well worth it. The service was good and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Portions are reasonable for the prices and quality, especially the fresh burgers.
I ordered the praline bacon to start and was good, just felt like it could’ve been a little warmer. I also ordered the Palmetto Burger which was really good, the pimento cheese stands out and liked the thickness of the patty. I also got a Bavarian crème fried hand pie and it was alright, needs a little more oomph of flavor (still delicious though, same for the bacon).

My first time here, had the palmetto burger. Probably the best dang burger I have had in a very long time. Ground beef was fresh and the pimento cheese was top notch fries were so good. In business for 18yrs they said and I can see why. Well worth the short drive out there.

What a great find while out on the motorcycle, on a beautiful late summer day. I had heard about this place and wanted to try it. I was not disappointed. I had the BLT, which was on large, toasted wheat bread, and packed with BLT! My waitress was very good, efficient and nice. The atmosphere was old country store, sans the grocery items, it is strictly a restaurant. A building off to the side offered outdoor tables. It’s a hour and 45 minute ride from my home and well worth it.

Excellent! That is the best way that I can think of to begin describing this wonderful gem! I’m definitely not a food critic but I do know what I like. The food was outstanding and the entire staff was wonderful to be around. I drive several miles just to come here and I must say that I have never been disappointed

What a treasure in this little area. My aunt and I stopped in today and had the tomato pie. And it was delicious. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Made sure to keep our drinks full. And we loved the building and atmosphere. If you are looking for a great place off the beaten path, be sure and stop in. Will be returning when im back in the area.

It was our first time here and it was delicious! We came for Saturday brunch and tried the ham balls and praline bacon. For our main course, we got the brisket and grits, the Cajun waffle, and a plain waffle. Everything was hot, fresh, flavorful, and delicious. I definitely want to come back to check out their other menus. So good!!

A laidback country gem restaurant with friendly service and a local home cooked influence on the menu. A former country store with some nostalgic items on the wall and shelves, it’s now a cozy, welcoming gathering place. My wife had the tasty Smokey Mountain Chicken and I had Nana’s Meatloaf with the “sinful and scrumptious “praline bacon appetizer strips. We took home a serving of the chocolate coca-cola cake which bring you back along with homemade fruit and Boston Creme hand pies. We’ll be back.

Oh. My. Goodness.
Was brought here by some family members, I would have not known otherwise.
Y’all…. Y’ALL!
When people are passionate about the food they serve, you get this. You get delicious, hot, fast, plentiful.
I had the praline bacon first. If First Watch has “Million Dollar Bacon”, well this is “Billion Dollar Bacon”!
Next up, I had the Cowboy Benedict. tender, juicy steak atop a fluffy biscuit with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. The flavors and textures come together perfectly, the meat had a smoky taste as well and it was DELIGHTFUL.
Couldn’t leave without trying the beignets. EXCELLENT.
Super friendly people, fast ticket times, great atmosphere and a whole lot of deliciousness.
They now take card payment and are no longer cash only, FYI.
Treat yourself and give this adorable place a shot. You won’t regret it. Too far? Nonsense. For a foodie, it’s worth the drive.
