Finally stopped in after eyeing this place every time I fly in from Vegas for the weekend, and y’all… I should’ve pulled been pulled over. From the second I walked in, the smiles was a warm welcoming. Kesha’s energy was everything The pork chop is legitimately life-changing — juicy & seasoned all the way to the bone. The mac & cheese is the creamy, cheesy hug I didn’t know I needed after a long flight, and those greens? Seasoned so good I almost cried last but not least the peach cobbler was the icing on the cake for me!
True Southern love on a plate. ❤️

This little gem is a great addition to the Sparta area. Located right in the center of town this restaurant offers both breakfast and lunch options. I came for the breakfast and I’m glad I did.
Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful. The staff was very polite and helpful. I liked the small touch of linen napkins, and decanted water.
I would definitely recommend this location for anyone who lives in the area or is just passing through.

Had a late lunch there for the first time just the other day and everything was top tier. We came in expecting to have breakfast and instead couldn’t resist the fresh, delicious homemade pizza! We also had the fish sandwich that was great! We ordered a chicken philly to go that was the best one I’ve had! We had the pleasure of having a short conversation with the owner, who was very polite and attentive. We sat at a lovely corner table, that she has placed to honor her mother’s memory! Overall, a great experience. We’re looking forward to going back!

Heavenly southern food from kind, hard-working people. I was surprised to learn this spot just opened in 2025, because I can tell they’re serving up recipes that have been refined and perfected for years. The owner was personally cleaning tables, holding conversations with guests, and welcoming people in. I even noticed they’re repping a perfect 100 food & safety score. Kudos all around.

I visited for the first time and had breakfast here, and I was truly impressed. One thing I really appreciated about the menu is the variety of non-pork meat options. So many breakfast spots only offer pork or no meat at all, but this place had turkey sausage, turkey links, turkey bacon, and even salmon patties. That alone made the experience a joy for me.
The service was excellent, the food was great, and the atmosphere felt genuinely welcoming. As a business owner myself, I appreciated being able to sit in a restaurant that felt comfortable, inviting, and well run.
I highly recommend giving this place a try—you won’t be disappointed.

Grits & Gravy has been an amazing addition to the small town of Sparta. I could try to describe how good the food is, but my best advice is that you need to try it for yourself. We have eaten there four times since opening, and the quality, taste, and service has been consistently excellent. Sunday dinner is NOT to be missed. It is the best meal and three I’ve ever had, anywhere. The Chef/Owner is bound for greatness, and Sparta is lucky to have her. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My bestie and I stopped here on our way to a service, and we are SO glad that we did. I got grits, cheese eggs and a fried pork chop, bestie got grits, eggs and sausage patties. We didn’t need to add anything to our food and it was perfect. Those were some of the best grits I’ve ever had in my LIFE. I will make a special trip out of the way for good food, and this is a spot that I’d come to every week if I lived closer. The cooks’ hands are blessed, because the way I INHALED that food should be a crime in itself.

Absolutely loved it! One of the best biscuits I’ve ever had and so good with the chicken patty and honey. Everything is served fresh and hot. The biscuit was so good that I got a sandwich too. Water is served ice cold and everyone there is super friendly.

1st time visitor in town & was referred to Grits & Gravy. Glad I did. Ordered some fish and cheese grits, with a salmon cake. Yum-myyy. Salmon & Fish were seasoned well. Didn’t need to add anything but that good ol’hotsauce. Oh! Them cheese grits were awesome as well. Cooked down just like my Mom used to cook them with a good mixture of cheese. I’d definitely eat here again on my next visit.
