I come here at least once a month with some friends, my favorite restaurant in Caldwell! Friendly staff, quick service and absolutely out of this world food; I’ve never had a bad meal here. Every dish is loaded with fresh flavors. You definitely need to stop reading and go yourself. Favorite dishes are Pad Thai (if you like saucy, it’s not your traditional peanut heavy Pad Thai), Steak Pasta Primavera, or the Pork Belly Burger!

Stopped in for a family lunch. Every member of staff was so friendly. The wait time for food was a little long, and the prices were a little high, but the portions were generous and the taste was fantastic. The green goddess dipping sauce for the fried jalapeños was wonderfully spiced. The spring salad was amazing. The fish from the fish n chips was moist with a good batter. The cheese pull on the Cuban sandwich was insane, and the dijon jalapeño cheese whiz gave it a little kick but wasn’t overpowering. You could taste is a home made sauce for the chicken alfredo. There weren’t any negatives from the meal. I’m not in Caldwell often, but will come back next time I am.

This was my first time here, and I’m glad we come out early! Be warned, parking stinks and this place is small. It’s worth the planning though! I had the asian rice bowl with chicken and the wife had the French dip. Both were great!

Went here for dinner with some friends. Would highly recommend! Plenty of options for the entire party. Service and drinks were great! All of the food seemed to be made from scratch and with care. Loved the tempura cauliflower and squash as well as the rockfish tacos. Others in our group enjoyed the poutine, pad Thai, and fried chicken. I suggest making a reservation if you plan to attend for dinner on weekends.

My wife and I just shared a 2C burger and it was delicious. I’m glad we shared because the burgers are huge! We were with a group of 12 and the server got all of us fed quickly and smoothly. Nice place in downtown Caldwell.

I got steak and tater, the girlfriend got Grit dip and house salad with Bleu cheese dressing. I had a single bite of the salad and it WAS GOOD! The girl that waited on us was very good. Management, please give her a raise. I hope she sees this because waiting is hard and she is very good! Will return! This is probably the new goto steakhouse. I will be skipping the Creek neighborhood steakhouse and hopping over to the Grit.

I travel ALOT and love trying new places. Grit was recommended to me, but don’t see the need to come back. The Burger was pretty good. Smaller than I imagined from some of the reviews I read. Also where the heck would anyone think a burger is worth almost 20 bucks. Rediculous. I would have rated this quite a bit higher but there wasn’t any service…at least I’ve had better service at fast food restaurants. Did manage to choke down the last of my burger while I chewed on ice to help wash it down. I was seated, order taken, food delivered and check paid. Least interaction I’ve ever had.

The food was amazing and so was the service. Can’t wait to move here to try all the things on the menu. If your ever in Caldwell Idaho make sure you stop in and give it a try. Great food! I had the Grit Dip and the house salad, which is possibly the best salad I’ve ever eaten. My BF had the steak & tater and it was cooked wonderfully. Our server was wonderful.
My suggestion is to skip the “steak house” in town & hit the Grit instead.
