Since 1975, Grins Restaurant has been serving this wonderful community and making people smile while feeling right at home. Grins Restaurant is truly a one-of-a-kind restaurant with great food in a relaxing environment. It’s known for its great lunch specials (all $10!) and margaritas ($2.50 at HH) and of course its world-famous burgers. We offer multiple dining rooms to choose from as well as a spacious tree-shaded deck. We have recently opened up our Beer Garden as well as a new bar for patrons to enjoy a nice cold beverage and listen to live music! We also have private dining rooms available to host your next private event as well as off-site catering available. Come check out a San Marcos tradition since 1975!

Ordered the steak and it was the thinnest steak I’ve ever had. I asked for med-rare and the waitress said she didn’t think they could do that. Now I see why. The macaroni and cheese was SO dry. And I’m not sure what that steak sauce was and neither did the waitress. Definitely will not be returning. The staff was pleasant though.

My husband and I stopped here for a lunch date and were pleasantly surprised from the start. The hostess was extremely friendly, but so were all the employees there, even if they weren’t directly servicing you, everyone made sure to greet you. We mentioned to our server that we would be sharing our food and didn’t even ask for an extra plate, but they took the initiative and cut it for us and served us two separate plates. The food and service was amazing. The environment was so cozy and cute. It was like being in a treehouse. Great prices too, we will definitely be back.

Our son graduated from TX St and really wanted Grin’s. He called after the river jump, and they were able to accommodate a party of 13 with minimum wait time (around 15 minutes). Thank you, Grins, for accommodating us on short notice.

I’m SO HAPPY this place is under new ownership! This uniquely San Marcos restaurant has had new life breathed into it! The restaurant has amazingly friendly staff, is SUUUUPER clean, and the new owner is adding food offerings to the menu, while maintaining the staple dishes the restaurant is best known for. Rented a room for our gender reveal over the weekend! Such a cozy spot and the hospitality of the staff was top notch! Everyone invited was impressed with their food and the atmosphere!
