Great place. Was a little worried when I pulled up because the decor and lighting is a little interesting, but decided to come in and did not regret it. Everything is home made in house. Bathrooms were clean. Great place for a taco Tuesday!

Saw this restaurant on my way back to a job site and gave it a try…was friggin good. I’ve been looking for authentic street style Mexican food since I moved from San Diego 6 months ago. I had 3 carnitas tacos on flour Tortillas and a bottled Coke…reminded me of Baja

Gringo’s food is amazing, never disappoints. Staff is friendly and kind. Food is fast and fresh. Chicken burrito smothered in cheese is my favorite.

It’s not authentic. But it wasn’t bad. I’d say a little pricey for a fast food style. They have horchata on tap but found out it was powered. Which isn’t good. But I did eat it all. Not sure if I’d be back unless I’m with others who want to go there.

A welcoming staff and easy to choose from menu. It’s not bad mexican for the hilarious name. The burritos are huge and legit. The hot sauce is no joke, be prepared to sweat. Horchata, bottled soda, all the things you want with tacos or quesadillas. All that’s missing is a giant Our Lady of Guadalupe on the wall.

I was actually planning on stopping at another place on my way through town but they were closed (probably for 4th of July holiday). I’m super glad I ended up here! Super friendly staff and my quesadilla was melt in your mouth good!! The cheese was all nice and melty and the steak was super tender. Definitely give this place a shot.

Overall, great little taqueria, very comparable to the better taquerias found in San Diego, CA (where I’m from). The burritos and tacos are very authentic in much like the touristy areas of Mexico and San Diego. They have horchata and tamarindo too. I had their Oklahoma burrito, and it’s big (very big). I was not enthused, however, about their nachos, which uses cheese sauce. But, the tacos and burritos are the bomb.

We were on a road trip and stopped here because of some reviews that mentioned vegan options. It was great! I got the California burrito sub rajas and no rice and my boyfriend got the chicken and steak plate. The customer service was top notch and we both left very satisfied!

I was starving and decided to take a gamble on a new spot—and I’m so glad I did! Gringo’s Taqueria in McAlester is a hidden gem that hits different. I went with the Carnitas Burrito, and let me tell you… it was absolutely delicious! Every bite was packed with flavor, and you can tell the guys here take a lot of pride in their work. The food is fresh, authentic, and made with love. McAlester is lucky to have such an awesome Mexican spot. If you’re looking for something that hits the spot, this is it! Highly recommend!
