I will start with the only negative comment I can say about this place, the parking. If you come on the weekday in the afternoon, you should have no trouble, any other time of the weekend or evening it is not fun at all. Typical Decatur.
The good and great: the burgers are absolutely out of this world. The buns are super soft and mildly sweet and all of the ingredients are real fresh and not factory made ( referring to the bacon). If you get the sautéed onions on the burger. It makes them taste like a dream. I really don’t understand how these burgers are so delicious. The specialty burgers are an added treat and I cannot wait to go back.
The french fries are thicker crinkle cut and look like nothing special. However, there must be something in the seasoning because they were devoured by me and my family. There is something on them that is absolutely delicious and they are super crispy on the outside. Best crinkle cut I’ve ever had.
Seating inside the restaurant on the main floor is ample and cool and they have unlimited refills at fountain drinks, which is nice.
We did not go upstairs to the bar since we had children with us, but I’ve heard good things. There was a decent amount of outdoor seating as well, but it was too hot to use it in July.
The service was great. They constantly checked on us, and since we ordered a pitcher of beer, they were ready to serve us more as we finished our pitcher off. I never felt neglected.
The food was actually great, but it wasn’t the best burger I’ve had, but it was solid. For the price, it’s pretty hard to beat, but it’s beatable. However, I would still be happy with them compared to most places. I love you can stay fairly simple or even get a lil creative with their signature burger options for those unsure of what toppings they want.
If you’re looking for a chill spot for great bar food and some beers this place is prefect especially with the rooftop seating. Love that I finally got to experience first hand what I’ve heard was such a great place
