Overall it was a really nice atmosphere to eat dinner. Ate on the patio and loved the views and exposure we had to old town Scottsdale. The service was mediocre. Our food came quick but we had to ho back in and ask for waters and a couple of other things. Ordered the Margherita pizza and sausage pizza. Pizza was good if you like thin style. The crust is very coarse so if you don’t like crunchy then it may not be for you. Bill was about $45 before tip. Glad I went but probably wouldn’t go back.

I asked for the table next to the window….And what server could find for 3 of us is a table literally on intersection. Many other tables were not occupied but somehow not available for us….OK. The most horrible experience. People walked through us to the restroom, and pizza was moving from the kitchen right above my head. Every 5 minutes, ice arrived into the servers station, another 5 minutes – glasses, a lot of noise, and chats from servers station. Why is it even located and organized that way right in front of the customers. Yellow sign on the floor next to our table was definitely there for servers to make them jump over it and run and push it, and punch it… Pizza was ready in 45 minutes. It was so loud that I couldn’t normally talk to my family. I wanted to leave this mess ASAP. Place with dirty floors and turning dirty table cloth up side down in-between customers, pretending to be a good one. The base for the pizza pan on the table was not stable, so be careful. Pizza is average and is not worth your time.

We went to Grimaldi’s in Old Town Sunday evening 2/19 for pizza and wine as we often do and we usually enjoy sitting at the bar. There were only 2 seats at the very end of the bar by the hostess station/front door, so we decided to order take out and have a glass of wine while waiting. Since the glass price is high we ordered a bottle and figured we would have the rest of it with our pizza at home. It was busy but we wondered if they lost our pizza as 45 minutes had passed. When we asked the bartender, she said they should bring it out when ready, but since the bar was clearing out and people ate and left she went to check. Dirty dishes were piled up at the bar and on several tables and finally our pizza arrived (by this time the wine was gone).. We are a slice at the bar as we were starving and it was cold and like cardboard. Obviously it sat for 20 or 25 minutes waiting for someone to take it out to . The worst experience ever at this Grimaldi’s with no customer service and no one helping clear dishes as the employees would rather be congregating at the hostess stand on their phones and talking than service customers. What a disappointment. The guy that is usually behind the bar is great and one reason we enjoy going. Now a big turn-off. Too bad we spent over $100 and only had wine and shared one terrible cardboard pizza.

Well, there were definitely some problems from our Grimaldi’s Pizza experience. 1st our delivery driver only delived half of our order, the salad and dessert, and forgot the 2 pizzas we ordered. So we had to wait over an hour to get our pizza. And when we got it it was cold, not even warm at all. 2nd the dessert was thrown around like crazy during delivers, and it didn’t even look like cheesecake when we got it. It was just a blob of stuff. 3rd the pizza was bland. It seemed like it was a couple pieces of cheese with marinara on fry bread, with very little pepperoni. Not sure if I will ever order from here again. I was really hoping the pizza was going to be really good, and if it would have been I would have let a lot of the problems we had slide, but it wasn’t. The cheesecake was good, but not enough to bring the review up much.

This location has to be the absolute worst. The service is horrible with staff ignoring their tables, never checking on customers, not refilling drinks, and spending most of their time chatting to each other or on their phones. Probably because the manager on duty is hiding out in her office most of the time.

Pizza was nice and fresh (the Don). Lemon arugula salad was great although I meant to add chicken. The antipasto was more like a charcuterie board than a salad. Not having pics we didn’t know but online pics shows. The drinks were strong. Didn’t like having ice in my martini because we asked for it to be in a round glass. Waiter was nice.
