What lured us in was the smell outside — seriously irresistible. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a dimly lit, cozy bar and restaurant vibe that feels lively without being overwhelming. The place was packed, which is always a good sign.

We started with ordering the bruschetta trio, so delicious. For pizza, we went with the hot honey pepperoni (SO good — the sweet heat is perfect) and one of the house favorites topped with sausage and meatballs. Both pizzas were cooked perfectly with that classic coal-fired flavor.

Another bonus: sign up for their rewards program, it’s actually worth it. You get a free appetizer on your first visit, a free pizza on your birthday, and you earn reward dollars for every amount you spend.

Great food, great atmosphere, and perks that make you want to come back. We’ll definitely be returning

Everything was excellent – pizza, pasta, beer, service, etc. We were in town for some golf and ended up in old town Scottsdale for dinner. If you are in the area, I would highly recommend stopping in, especially if you like a good brick oven pizza.

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria offers a pleasant dining experience with ample seating both indoors and out, complemented by friendly hospitality and solid service. However, the pizza, while decent, doesn’t quite justify its price, especially with toppings costing nearly $2 each. Weekend parking can also be a hassle. For the cost, there is better value options.

First time here. Some colleagues and I were in town for meetings and we thought we would stop in. We never heard of Grimaldi’s before but can tell you, we will be looking for other locations during our next travels. The staff were so friendly and helpful in explaining everything to us and had a great sense of humor. Being able to watch as the pizzas were made was fun. Watching them stretch and toss the dough and them putting it in the ovens was impressive. You need some serious skills to do all of that. The pizza was delicious. We were able to order a half and half pizza so that we could try two special pizzas at once. We did half “The Don” and half “Tuscan veggie pizza”. The Don was by far our favorite I think mainly because we did not know to ask for traditional and got white pizza. Well worth the visit!

Very cool-looking pizza place that serves up some authentic brick oven pizza! This was my first time trying this place out and I’m super glad we went. The pizza options are delicious and if you don’t want any of the premade ones on the menu, you can also make your own! I had ordered a 16″ ‘The Don’ pizza with basil and ricotta cheese, and was approached by our waiter (I should’ve gotten his name but he was a tall ginger or dirty blonde gentleman) to inform us that the pizza that they had made did not have meatballs on top and that the kitchen has forgot to place them on before baking. Any rational person would be okay with this and expect the meatballs to be brought out on a platter or would even think that the chefs would just warm the meatballs and place them on the pizza after it was done. Instead, our waiter brings the pizza with no meatballs out, gives it to us to enjoy and informs us that the kitchen is working on ANOTHER PIZZA with meatballs on it as well, totally free of charge! The service and hospitality is absolutely top knotch and both pizzas (with or without meatballs) were absolutely delicious! I will absolutely be coming back in the future.

First time visited this place without booking and had to wait 10 mins to arrange table and it’s good option to book a table before visiting. We ordered 2 large veg & chicken pizzas. Taste is good and the bread is thin crest.

Great food. Crispy out, chewy inside crust, great sauce. Plenty of food and our server paid great attention to us.

I celebrated my daughter’s 12th birthday at Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing.

I originally made a reservation for 30 guests, and a manager kindly helped increase it to 45, which I truly appreciated. However, after being transferred to the events reservation coordinator, the tone changed completely. The interaction felt unfriendly, and it seemed as if they were doing us a favor rather than providing a service.

From the moment we arrived, the attention and organization were poor. The staff was not welcoming (with the exception of the initial manager). Only one person was assigned to serve drinks for 45 guests, tables were never cleared, and our group had to clean the tables ourselves just to avoid eating surrounded by trash.

The most upsetting moment occurred when Manager Tatiana yelled at my mother, a woman nearly 80 years old. Telling her she needed to leave, even though we had only used the room for two hours and had the right to three hours. I was also told that we had violated their “codes,” which was shocking because we did absolutely nothing inappropriate. We were simply trying to manage and attend to the group of children when staff support was lacking.

Overall, the experience was unpleasant and stressful on what should have been a joyful celebration for my daughter. I cannot recommend this location for events or large groups.

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria: A Must-Try for Pizza Lovers

If you’re a fan of authentic, high-quality pizza, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria is a must-visit. Their menu offers a great selection of unique and interesting pizzas at fantastic prices. But what truly sets them apart is their crust—it’s hands down the best I’ve ever had! Light, crispy, and perfectly baked, it provides the ideal base for their flavorful toppings.

We ordered the arugula, prosciutto, and Parmesan pizza, which was absolutely delicious. While it was a bit salty, that was expected given our choice of a salty cheese and cured meat. The flavors balanced beautifully, and every bite was satisfying.

With its inviting atmosphere, top-notch ingredients, and unbeatable crust, Grimaldi’s delivers a pizza experience that’s worth coming back for. Highly recommend!
